Yeah that was the biggest pile of shit I ever watched. I have seen some bad youtube videos before but this one is the worse ever! I killed it at the 2 min mark fucking retarded. I'm so glad our own forum leaders don't make youtube videos. The experience would be very dramatizing. Please Rhett don't make any youtube videos spare us! :joshua:

The YouTube stuff is just a bonus.
You guys need to give their actual show a chance. They have accents because they're from KENTUCKY! That's part of the charm. You're letting your prejudices get in the way. Seriously they've had the best interviews with horror icons I've heard. They celebrate indie horror. And they're funny as hell. Give the actual show a chance. Search for the episodes with George Romero, John Carpenter, Mick Garris, Danny Steinmann, or president of Code Red DVD Bill Norton as a good place to start.

It has nothing to do (Well maybe a little ) with their accents, they just seem like immature unfunny morons with no intelligence whatsoever! Cool that they celebrate all things horror, doesn't mean they should have their own show.
But hey, if you enjoy them that's cool! Not ragging on you, just commenting on the video you through up for people to check out and giving my harsh opinion on it. I personally think it's a waste of time, and would not recommend anyone waste a half an hour watching it.

I think it adds to the appeal a bit...actually makes for a more entertaining listen I think. A couple of self-proclaimed rednecks sittin around shootin the shit about horror films...awesome! regardless of why the accents are there?? :spit: I'm sorry the accents annoy you, dude. As boycrieswolf says, it's part of the charm. Now, I don't even notice it, but it was never distracting for me.
The feeling I'm getting here is a reluctance to honestly give this show a chance because of the accents and the fact that they don't take themselves seriously and like to goof around. Not to get on the soapbox, but plenty of intelligent horror aficianados and filmmakers have shared time with these guys. They ask the right questions and are respectful and serious when they need to be. But they're never politically correct and that fucking great with me! I don't consider myself an idiot and I recognize enthusiastic horror talk when I hear it.
You're all just malnourished. You need a KFC enema! ;) That's it for me on the topic, but I would never recommended these guys if I didn't think there was serious merit for horror fans...particularly those with a taste for old school '70s and '80s horror.

Thanks for the support IndiePhantom I didn't think anybody would post this video here...as I've been on this board longer than everyone bitching and complaining about our totally free video and radio show. Yeah, what gives with the hate? I've always loved the radio show and have tuned in a number of times regularly. You guys rule, keep it up. Stressing on the accents is a really superficial thing - I remember doing a short film once, and all the user comments were people who couldn't get past the "Canadian eh!!!!" accent. Lame.

Uncle Bill is ok but this ck is a total idiot. He's so damn annoying and stupid with all the retarded flesh light shit. You would think he is about 13 years old. All these comments about tits and ass not to mention porn, fleshlight scat porn I could go on but please. This has nothing to do with accents that guy is just an imature loser...He needs to lose 100lbs, get a girlfriend or a life and he will quit living in a 10 yeAR olds world.
I liked parts of the show but all the over bull he spews ruins it.

Whoa, I decided to come here and to check out who all is into Deadpit (www.deadpit.com) as I download they're latest in HD every Friday morning, and listen to it every Saturday morning the next day.
Was surprised to see all of the hate. Yes, they did grew up (unfortunately) in a very rural appilachia county in rural eastern Kentucky, and I'll admit they can be a bit thick and grating at times, but hey, I also don't like (really can't stand) Aussie & Kiwi accents (I mean nothin' at all ignorant or Xenophobic), and so I avoid them where I run into them in life and on the web. Simply as that. To each they're own.
But for those of us into a little bit of everything, from Slashers & Giallo films, to odler Exploitation stuff and all of that released during the '70s and '80s and '90s hayday, and a lot of European stuff, I feel they're free radio rocks. I also dig most of they're YouTube stuff. Deadpit on the Road is always cool, but I prefer the more quieter Creepy Kentuckian (the large one) my himself, quietly ranting. Loved it when they trashed modern Fango a few weeks back. That was priceless (had to do with Tony Timpone not appearing in this long awaited documentary about deadpit that many of us are still waitin' on).
Anyway, if anyone else is into'em, you can still with a few more hours left untill Midnight, copy & paste your voting ballot on over at the Rondo Awards: http://www.rondoaward.com
Ah well to each they're own. Can't wait to listen to the latest, which is Part 1 of an Adrianne Barbeau interview. These guys rule ...

Yeah, same here: I agree the biggest drawback, and it's an unfortunate one, is they're juvenile sense of humor. Constant bad impression of Sunny Landman the pro-wrestler or whom ever, and Anne Ramsey (infamous dead hag-voiced large actress from The Goonies, Throw Mama From the Train and Craven's Deadly Friend) have gotta go from the recent commercials. And the suual occasional tit talk and fuckin' talk, ect. But unfortunately, I feel that'll be a mainstay of the show, as they're minds and pricks probably never left the 7th grade. Ah well.
And yeah, review wise, I only agree with'em about 60% of the time and have been disagreing a lot sometimes lately, but they do put on a great free show. It's easily the best and most entertaining for being over two hours and free, and for the super cenre genre guests that they manage to land.
True, the constant bashing of the usual genre celebs get's old as well (Eli Roth, Adam Green and Rob Zombie--it's mostly Zombie I wish they'd leave alone, but to each they're own), I must say. They need to give that all a rest. We get it that they don't like'em at all.
Was just curious, as I always wodnered how you chould listen to it on your car stereo, since you mentioned that. How doe that work?

Cosign. Not to mention they review all the horror films, studio or indie, good or bad. I appreciate the bad reviews the most, because they keep me from blind buying what could be a horrible film. Once you get used to the accents, the show's a lot of fun to listen to.

Here here, I SO agree. :D
Seriously, usually when they really shit all over something (like Mr. Crowley the otehr night, and Return to Sleepaway Camp, ect), I'll his Amazon where I order myself and the IMDB boards, and no doubt, they'll pretty much be right, and I'll think myself from a blind buy (though cause it has the original very overrated film makers, I never really planned to get Return to Sleepaway Camp myself, though). And indeed, trust me folks: Once ya get over the accents, it's hands-down the best podcast on the web.

Yeah, I'm with you on the 60% of the time and don't even think I'd check out any of the indy stuff they talk about. I've worked on the crew of some low budget SOV horror and although I've watched my fair share, most of it is crap! I'd rather spend my time on proven genre material. Yes, I like to give Indys a fair shake, but not blindly!! And not based on a biased opinion!! Speaking of which, I agree totally about the Eli and Zombie bashing! Way too much of it. I like some of those filmmakers' products!
I listen to the show on my Sandisk 1gig player hooked up to a cassette adapter in my car. I listen to podcasts all week as I have a 30-40 min. commute to and from work. Yup, same here: I do blind buy some older genre films shot on 35mm, but that's it. And it has to be fairly acclaimed or have at least a mild cult following. Shot on videoo stuff I have very little of; mostly The Ripper Blood Pack (three disc set of the infamous Oklahoma City shot in the mid '80s films, like Blood Cult, it's rare sequel and Savini as The Ripper--some hysterical shit right there), and Video Violence and Cannibal Campout and such on DVD. I agree, as all of that I've rented and seen over time is really just shit now 'n days and I don't wanna waste my money on it.
And thanks for the Sandisk 1gig info! I'll have to look that up on Amazon, as I'm finally gettiny a new car next year, and I love podcasts and would love to listen to'em in my ride. Big thanks again ...

You can get an MP3 player for as low as $10 and a cassette adapter for $10 as well! I've had that Sandisk for over 2 1/2 years and paid $35 for it back then. Now you can get it a lot cheaper!
http://www.amazon.com/Sandisk-Silver-SDMX3-1024-A18-Hassle-Free-Packaging/dp/B001LRHZYU/ref=pd_bbs_11?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1237752889&sr=8-11
Any player will do though. You don't need a huge one either. A 1 gig holds hours upon hours of podcasts. The one negative about that Sandisk is the slow fast forward and rewind if you want to skip to a certain point in the cast. If you were part way into a podcast and put a new one on the player, but wanted to scan to where you left off in the last one, it is a chore! That player is probably better for music, but it is cheap! If your car doesn't have a cassette deck or mini plug for external players, you have to use an FM transmitter. A lot of newer cars have plugs and also have the capability to play MP3s burned to CD.

Anybody think the show has went way down? I mean I still listen and some of it was getting kinda silly as I mentioned before...But now it just seems the show has lost a lot of its luster and appeal..Maybe they don't have any guests left to get but each week the show seems duller and shorter..No call ins anymore and I have noticed they seem to just go through the motions more less..Especially UB HE seems totally un interested anymore in the show and just wants to say his part and get outta there! Seems he just does it for the free dvds now..And his girlfriend reads the mail which was a good gig for her I guess...
Anyway I still listen but it is no where near as good as it was back in 07' and 08..When you could tell there was a geuine excitement associated with them and the show.I think the show was good to start with..Then it reached its peak in 08..Then came all the horse shit shanagians...Then it seems to have steadily went down hill through out this year..

Yeah that to..It seems they are fizzling out somewhat...UB seems to have a lot of other pokers in the fire so to speak...I remember some great shows of the past..For me the Friday the 13th spectauLARS were some of the best..One of the best shows they did this year was the Friday V special with Carrol Locotale..That was a good show, sorta similar to a lot of their earlier shows..And as you said the previous October they had a lot of stuff going on with show, videos etc...They should have done another round table Live this Saturday night or something..They are doing the big ass Halloween bash again though Sunday with Halloween 3..But Halloween 3, really kinda boring.

We still very much have a format, the problem is theres a major lack of any news or anything interesting happening in the world of horror. Thus causing us to ramble, however if you listen to the new show this week available on www.DEADPIT.com we make a MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT that will rectify our situation. Yeah I just listened to the new show..I guess you guys were just doing so much more bullshiting it had taken something away...I don't know a few years ago ck and ub could come and take a simple old movie like NOLD...or Dawn of the dead and come up with something like May of the dead...I mean they didn't have to get guests from the films each week..It was interesting to just listen to their discussion of these films..That seems to be what is missing now..I think you guys should focus more on the nostalgic type of stuff..80s on back and do more reviews of old films being re-released on DVD and Blu..You guys have a real good connection with that type of stuff and really what the whole site was built off of...More serious discussions..more round tables..
Horror_Boy
12-19-2010, 01:24 AM
The show is getting worse each week..I think the idea of discussing all films is not to good..Doing the show wasted now with UB's girlfriend? I mean it is really silly and so much banter and BS about who the fuck knows what is kinda sad..I mean I loved the show back 2 or three years ago but if this is any indication of whats to come I think its headed down the shitter..They obviously have beaten a dead horse..
Horror_Boy
04-06-2012, 10:56 PM
Well it was an indication of what was to come I suppose..Since my last post seems the show has gotten even worse every year..Basicly now the show is this...Incoherent rambling for the first 30 mins about pretty much nothing..Silly dick jokes, talking about porn and more worthless crap..No news and very slim interviews. No callins anymore either. Seems like the only thing meaningful about the show now is the short review segment at the very end of the show..Listening to the earlier shows, 08' and on back you can hear the decline from a more professional sounding horror show to two guys trying to just be silly and funny..Also CK can't even read the news when they have some and he also is sick all the time so in between all the babling shitty jokes u get a bunch of hacking and puking in the background.....uh

I just listened to the most recent episode and I still think they are as entertaining as ever. To address some of the problems Horror Boy seems to have:
-The beginning of the show started off with the news almost immediately. It was as hilarious as its ever been. I was cracking up throughout. The show has always been about horror, but told through the prism of a couple of funny hillbillys. To me that has never changed and its not any better or worse now than when it started.
-The coughing only effects this episode and CK says right at the start that he is sick. Between not having a show (which there hadn't been a regular show for about a month) or listening to someone who's under the weather, I'd rather have a show. This is not a recurring thing (he doesn't have lung cancer or anything, it's just a cold) and only happens in this new episode. I also didn't hear any puking, just some coughing when he would laugh. I guess I'm used to it because Kevin Smith does the same thing on SModcast, but it really doesn't bother me.
-Just because there aren't call ins anymore doesn't mean that nothing happens during the middle of the show. There will be an interview (of which there have been a few so far this year) or a special segment. The newest episode featured a retrospective on the career of Sam Raimi and a few episodes ago they did a 1985 year in review. Once again, there have been episodes like this ever since the show first started so I'm not sure why they are suddenly "bad". Plus, they still read fan questions which to me is the same thing as having a call in without having to listen to certain callers ramble on and on while the Deadpit guys politely try to tell them to wrap it up. So the fans are still a part of the show, you just don't have to listen to them every week. This is another thing that isn't new, the call ins have been gone from every episode for years now.
I got into Deadpit over the last year and have been really enjoying going back through the catalog and hearing new episodes every other week. If people haven't listened in a while and are concerned about the claims by Horror Boy and others that show isn't good anymore, then give a listen to this most recent episode or the Joe Berlinger interviews and hear for yourself. I think they are right up there with some of the best episodes of the show. I also hope that the Deadpit premium site goes up soon, so we can once again have access to the 2005-2008 shows featuring the interviews with icons like Carpenter and Romero.

We still very much have a format, the problem is theres a major lack of any news or anything interesting happening in the world of horror. Thus causing us to ramble, however if you listen to the new show this week available on www.DEADPIT.com we make a MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT that will rectify our situation. Also Horror_Boy regardless of what you think of the show I appreciate you taking the time to listen and post thoughts on another forum. We need more folks like u spreading the word good or bad!
Demon aka CK my prayers go out to you dude. I too been sick as hell non stop last 6 months. I'm 107lbs so this constant sickness is just killing me. Hope you feel better so Horror_Boy can finally stop crying. ;)
