Well, according to Creature Corner (http://www.creature-corner.com/news2/nov27blackxmas2.php3), it looks like a sequel for Black Christmas is in the works. So maybe we'll get to find more about the man who likes "pretty pink cunts"... :)
Just so long as they don't ruin it, turning it into some Jason/Michael Myers/Freddy never ending indestructable franchise. That would SUCK.

In a "When A Stranger Calls Back" turn, Olivia Hussey is reported as being signed to the film and is to play the troubled detective who comes back to track the killer who terrorised her in the first one...LAME! Mind you, this was reported by the ever reliable Ain't-It-Cool-News (har har), so don't go busting down doors yet, but other sites seem to be reporting it so who knows. Bob Clark has also reportedly been asked to direct too, which would make watching it a little easier to stomache. But Cujo is right, this shouldn't be made, the first film is a masterpiece, and its impact will only be lessend with a direct to video sequel, no matter how good it is. As much as I love to watch Hussey, this just doesn't look good! :(

A Sequel? There is no need for a sequel. The original is perfect the way it is. There is no way they can make a sequel that will be nearly as good as the original is. Oh well, the good thing about them making a sequel would mean that they may give the original Black Christmas a better DVD.

A sequel seems to be a done deal, but all reports are that it's going to be a staight to video release. Why anyone would risk damaging a great movie by by bringing out a dire sequel is beyond me. As a fan of the original I would love to see a good sequel but in all honesty can anyone see this turning out to be anything other than a badly made teen slasher. Lets hope they don't ruin the first film for everyone by coming up with crap motives for the killings, the mystery was has alway's been part of the alure of Black Christmas

Good news! When I heard this i called my friend Ryan who works for Warner Bros. advertising with HNOW (my aunt works for the company too) he called a few friends there and heard that they DON'T have a script and are not even sure if they want a SEQUEL! What they do have is a REMAKE script which is supposed to be pretty good and also an outline to a sequel for the REMAKE. Executives where pondering the thought of just doing the sequel, however they are not sure whether or not they want to do that, they'd personally rather remake it. They also don't know how the news got out, but that's all I know for now. I might make him update that within a few weeks.
