Hey -- does anyone have the Ardustry release of this DVD? For some bizarre reason it asks me for a "parental password" to start the DVD. WTF? Does anyone know how to disable this garbage...?

Might just be your dvd player. Usually the code is 0000.

It's a failsafe to make sure you really want to view that piece of garbage!

Haha. Yeah, yeah, I know...it's garbage, but I want to watch it anyway.

Thus far, mashing various codes is not working (not 0000), it's just that this is so weird, because I have never had a "parental lock" appear on ANY DVD before, and I have watched loads of horror on this player for years. Truly strange.

I had one disc pop up with a lock years ago (I thought it was a Canadian disc) and it seems like I had to go into my own DVD player menu to deactivate something to make it work.Sadly this was so long ago I don't recall exactly what I did,but I've never had to do it again.

Actually I have this version of the film as well and I put it in the player and it worked fine on mine! I really hate the film. I just had to have it because I'm a completist and wanted all the Argento I could get!!

It was one of the first Argento's I saw.I liked it back then, though I didn't particularly like the comedic scenes and Asia's acting..The rest was fine ;)

I bought a used DVD of this, but ended up giving to a friend as a Birthday gift (she's both an Argento fan and a Phantom of the Opera fan), but never got around to watching it before giving it away.

Guess, it's all the better then?

Do a search of the "parental password" using your player brand and model number, I don't even think you need to throw the movie title in that search. Something might turn up.
