I just saw that this film was available at lfvw, and I was wondering if that version of the DVD is the official release. If it's not, then when does the official version come out? And if this is a bootleg version, will this be the longer cut if a offical version does come out?

This film does sound pretty friggin cool, from the description tho.... very tempting.

where was it available? Is it the NTSC R0 version?

As far as I know it is an "official" release. I have the dvd and it looks pretty good. I would say it is uncut, since that was what I was told but it was my first time seeing it on dvd so I'd have no way to compare it to be sure that it is.
I know it's a PAL dvd, but I can't remember what region it is.

As far as the film goes, I liked it. I thought it was a bit dissapointing compared to what I had heard about it but I still enjoyed it. Definitely worth a look.

I've read at some forums that this DVD is a bootleg, but this might be the only uncut release of the film.

how is the picture quality? Jason?

is the dvd version that you own, the same as the one at lfvw?

I own the R0 NTSC dvd, released by "Shibuya Hot". This dvd is a bootleg the quality is like a vcd, the sound is mpeg 2.0 Stereo (but the left and right channel are switched).

Looks like the guys from http://www.lfvw.com/ have wrong facts (or some kind of new release with the same cover?!?), the disc is not pal and the audio is not Dolby Digital.

Versus will be released uncut here in germany from Legend Films.
And I think Dimension or Miramax own the rights for the US, and Ryuhei Kitamura, the director, said on Fantasy Film Fest that he has to reshoot some scenes for the american version (less gore, less blood). There will be also a release in japan, but I don't know anything about it.
