Hey guys, I'm sure you will drool on your keyboards reading this:
Here is a list of forthcoming releases from Mya that should carry the company through 2011. The list should not be considered definitive, as there may be changes. Order of release has not yet been established. This is an amazing, enticing and thrilling list, many films of which euro-film fans in the United States have been waiting for years, even since the digital disc format began, to see on NTSC DVD. A thank you to Mya's Marcello Rossi for providing this blog with this information.

Some real classic on there. Many of which already were released in Italy. This would mean at least great picture quality.

Sorry but I have to admit...I don't even know about 99% of the films on that list.

Pumaman, War of the Planets? The titles I've seen are pure crap in that list.
So long as they paid pennies on the dollar for them, then price and group their products right I can see them squeaking bye.

Finally, Horrible Dr. Hitchcock on DVD. I have been waiting for this one for so long.
I think I also saw some of the currently OOP Sergio Martino No Shame releases. And, while I have them already, it's nice to see they'll be available again.

GIALLA A VENEZIA - That I would see/buy.
There are maybe 5 on that list I know.
I wish I could get more excited but I already feel as though I've seen the best Italian cult cinema has to offer - Early Dario, '78-'82 Fulci, etc. After that it goes downhill in a big hurry. I think cream rises... but hell - put 'em out, I'll give it a shot.

Searching IMDB I see the first couple are either sexploitation or sexy comedies. Pretty unknown indeed.
There are some that stand out.
Midnight Blue is said to be an improvement over the similar but much nastier "Last House on the Beach" of the previous year. It is still an unsettling and uneasy film to watch with tense fascination.
E venne il giorno dei limoni neri
- About the Mafia
...a tutte le auto della polizia
- A Crime/Giallo Hybrid by Mario Caiano
Arriva Dorellik
- Danger Diabolik spoof!
Sorriso della iena
- Giallo by Silvio Amadi (Amuck!)
Marchio di Kriminal
- Fumetti
Bandito dagli occhi azzurri
- Crime thriller with Franco Nero
Black Killer
- Spaghetti Western with Klaus Kinski
Un Uomo chiamato Dakota
- Spaghetti Western
Bambola di Satana
- Gothic (?) Horror
Criminali della galassia
- Margheriti SciFi
Morte viene dal pianeta Aytin
- Margheriti SciFi
And there's more..but I don't have enough time now.

Looks like a bunch of Lamberto Bava tv-horrors are in there. La casa del'orco was put out by Shriek Show as Demons III: The Ogre.
I'm not really interested in the sex comedies, but I definitely want Giallo a venizia.

Yeah, basically. A lot of the other stuff on there is for hardcore fans of giallos and "Euro-trash". Unless you're a hardcore fan (which I personally am not) that list doesn't really mean much to you.

Il consigliori is a crime thriller with Tomas Milian and Martin Balsam.
A couple of Edwige Fenech movies in there.
A bunch of NoShame movies as well.
Some nasty mondos.
Un ombra nell'ombra and Un bianco vestito per Marialé are horrors.
Trhauma and L'Uomo più velenoso del cobra are gialli I believe.
Non aver paura della zia Marta is one of the movies that Cat in the Brain takes its gore from so I'm interested in that.

I've never even heard of most of those on the list. Midnight Blue sounds interesting, but other than that...
I honestly can't really see these making much money for MYA, unless there's a lot of double-features or box set releases.

You're not alone here. Nearly all of these titles are too obscure to be profitable.

How did Mya get all of these titles? My God!
I still can't believe they're releasing Absurd (1981) in June! This company is gonna rise around here, I tell you that.

Just because these are obscure, I guess. Makes them a lot cheaper.
Still there are some minor gems in that list. I'm happy to discover some of these obscurities.

But I'm sure Shriek Show would have tried to get Absurd, as they released Anthropophagus. There were a lot of demands for them. And 4 Flies was another major film people were after. I know some are obscure, but others are classic.

How did Mya get all of these titles?
That's a good question, considering some of these were previously released by other companies and/or thought to be owned by other studios like Four Flies on Grey Velvet.

Apparently theses are the releases for July:
http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_gcj_Yg6BwZI/Sc6ngBpYYiI/AAAAAAAAAnQ/3yF6XIrCEPo/s1600/duo.jpg
As noted by the DVD Aficionado website, Mya's July releases will be DEVIL IN THE FLESH and ARIZONA COLT RETURNS. Both films will street July 28th. DEVIL IN THE FLESH already had an NTSC release from NoShame a few years ago, while ARIZONA COLT RETURNS, which stars Anthony Steffen, Aldo Sambrell and Rosalba Neri, saw a German DVD release on the Koch Media label. The Mya DVD will be the film's first U.S. DVD release

DEVIL IN THE FLESH and ARIZONA COLT RETURNS are on it, but way down on the list, numbers 109 and 118 respectively. This means that Mya's more immediate titles, to be released this year, could come from anywhere on the list and not just from the top batch.
