Favorite Little Creature Feature Sequel

The eighties were the era of little creatures gone amok, with franchises shooting up left and right in the wake of GREMLINS. While the first films get a lot of press, it's often the sequels that end up truly memorable. Which first sequel is your favorite from all these popular critter series?

Well, I actually love Ghoulies, but hate the sequels. :D

Uh...I'll have to go with...uh...Gremlins 2 is the only one I can think of that I kind of enjoyed.

My vote is for Gremlins 2, but I suspect Troll 2 is going to win this battle. :)

I haven't seen PUPPET MASTER 2 or HOBGOBLINS 2, but all the other films I enjoy quite a bit. GREMLINS 2 probably does have the most artistic merit, but CRITTERS 2 and GHOULIES II, at least, are more fun for me. TROLL 2 has to win out though, that's in a league of its own.

Kind of unfair to put the mainstream Gremlins 2 in this poll. I mean, its the franchise all the others are ripping off, plus was made on a big budget vs. all the low budget ripoffs.

But I liked Critters 2 better anyways. :P

Troll 2 easily, but all of the sequels on the list are FUN. Ghoulies II and The Gate II would come in not too far behind.

Hobgoblins 2 was wacky and true to the original, and wouldn't disappoint a Rick Sloane fan.

Dude, I can't even finish Ghoulies Go to College. It's juvenile in jokes (farts and horny monsters? lame!) and they talk so stupidly! 1/10 is too gracious for it. Fuck Ghoulies III! :fuck:

Critters 2. I just watched this recently (along with the rest of the series). It was very enjoyable and quite fun. I never really cared for Gremlins 2 (or the original for that matter). Puppetmaster 2 is the only other film I've seen in the poll and it's pretty enjoyable as well.

Gremlins 2, every time! But Troll II rocks and Ghoulies 2 is very enjoyable. The MGM DVD's audio SUCKS though. And Critters 2 deserves credit for being more shocking, gory, and a lot funnier than the first movie.
