Features parts 3, 5 & 6. It's only $11.49, so if you don't have the movies, it's quite cheap.

But they all suck. That's the big downside.

But they have werewolves in them, so there is that.

Arguably, part 4 is my least favorite movie in the series, so I'm amused by the fact that 4 isn't in this set, lol.

Part 4 is a favourite of mine because of the nostalgia factor.

As a kid I rented that movie countless times.

I don't know for the rest of you but i like the part V a lot. The whodunit-werewolf movie is a good try.

I love The Howling V: The Rebirth!! It's one of my all time Favorites in The Howling Series. It is a Great Sequel in the Horror Series and it has a nice mystery and a "Ten Little Indians" Guessing Game as to who the Werewolf is!! I remember being pretty blown away as to who the Werewolf is the first time that I watched it!! I still enjoy it now!!

I love the name of the studio releasing this - Timeless Media Group

...and that studio SUCKS

This is an example of their quality: releasing a Blu-ray at 780p (yes, 780p just upconverted!) and it actually looks (and sounds) far worse than the older DVD they released. Not to mention that they had to RE-RELEASE that DVD previously since they released a cut version of the film!

You can bet your next paycheck on recycled transfers and no features. I'm certainly glad that I already own these from other studios.

I was just going to mention that! When the Lionsgate/Artisan disc went out of print, some little company re-released the movies and Amazon.com reviewers complained a lot about the low quality.

The description says it has Howling 3, 4, and 5.

I seen that as well, but check out the artwork as it shows the names for 3, 5 & 6. Amazon isn't always correct on their descriptions, especially on items that haven't been released yet.

So,should we be expecting full frame transfers here ? I know pt. 3 was out widescreen in the past.

If you clicked the Amazon link, it lists the aspect ration as 1.33:1, so they are indeed full frame.

Well damn. I was thinking that MGM somehow snagged the rights to the third one and was releasing them together. The first one is brilliance, the second is a big ball of cheese, and the third one is just so damn different and odd from the first two that I can't help but like it.

A 2-disc set from Timeless Media Group means these are just the same discs (Part 3 and a double feature of Parts 5 & 6) previously released, stuck in a tin to pretty them up. Since the transfers are ass, the old saying about polishing a turd applies.

I lucked out and got the Elite DVD of Part 3 in the Wal-mart dump bin for $5 a few years back. I'd like to get the Lionsgate 5 /6 disc to replace my Timeless one.

If anyone really feels the need to own this, check your local supermarket. I saw a ton of them today in my local stop and shop...and priced lower than amazon at 9.99. The tin case looks cool at least. They had it in a display with a bunch of other Halloween themed stuff (a vampire tin...zombies...dinosaurs...etc) Most of the movies in each were either the expected public domain stuff (ie Satanic Rites of Dracula, Night of the Living Dead, etc)...they also contained some stuff I have never heard of...I assume either retitlings or maybe some DTV stuff.

Picked this up today, and the tin box is actually pretty cool. 9.99 isnt bad for what you get.

Are the transfers different or the same?
