Must Buy Blu-ray Horror part 08 - An American Werewolf in London - Blu-Ray

With a strong victory, An American Werewolf in London gets the 4 votes in for the next Blu-ray on the list.

I'm going to make this thread about movies that are just "Must Buy" Blu-rays.

So let's pick some more Blu-ray Horror and the one that gets the first 4 votes will be placed next in the list. Or the Blu-Ray with the most votes by the end of 4 days, based on which comes first.

Must-Buy: 01. Child's Play - Blu-Ray
Must-Buy: 02. The Thing - Blu-Ray
Must-Buy: 03. The Shining - Blu-Ray
Must-Buy: 04. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (Original) - Blu-Ray
Must-Buy: 05. Friday the 13th part 2 - Blu-Ray
Must-Buy: 06. The Descent - Blu-Ray
Must-Buy: 07. Halloween (78) - Blu-Ray
Must-Buy: 08. An American Werewolf in London - Blu-Ray

So if you haven't picked up An American Werewolf in London, I really suggest you look into adding it into your Blu-ray collection. If you've bought it, I'd love to read your comments on the disc. Image, sound. If you haven't, will you be buying it? And lastly select a movie you own on Blu-ray as a must have, the first movie with 4 votes will make the list.

I will start the next thread with my selection, so to begin, I choose:

Dawn of the Dead (Original) - Blu-Ray

My Bloody Valentine - looks awesome in 2-D and looks impressive at home in 3-D. Plus for a remake it didnt suck.

Second this, although I only tested the 3-D on the first 10 minutes or so. Not nearly as awesome as the theater 3-D, but pretty good looking at a glance.

On a side note, I watched Incredible Hulk BD last night and it's probably the second best I've seen quality-wise. Only Pirates of the Carribean 1 looked better. I know it doesn't qualify as it's far from horror, but it is a sock-knocking BD.

I can vouch for AAWIL, great blu. The sound is the bigges step up for me it sounds wonderful in DTS HD, the picture is also the best the films look.

I'd also like to vouch for the Poltergiest the restoration WB did on the picture and sound is amazing the films looks brand new. A real pitty they coul'nt put more effort into the special features.

So far there's a 3-3 tie between Poltergeist and My Bloody Valentine 3-D.

Fudge, I guess I'll be the tie breaker here and say MBV 3D. Poltergeist is a classic, but I had a lot of fun with MDV 3D.
