Tucker & Dale Vs. Evil is a new horror comedy (still currently in post-production) that should be coming out early next year. Here's the synopsis: Tucker & Dale Vs. Evil is a genre-bending indie horror comedy. Labine stars as Dale alongside Tudyk as Tucker, two good-natured hillbillies mistakenly accused of being psycho killers by a group of college kids camping at the same lake where the hillbillies have just acquired a dilapidated cabin as their "summer home."

Judging from the title I didn't really have an interest in the film, but then I watched the promo trailer and I think this looks hysterical and bloody good fun!

I attended a theatrical screening of this last July and loved it. Really fun movie. Here's a review I posted for it on another website.

(Keep in mind, I had written this last July before seeing Frozen, Piranha, Rare Exports, etc, so it did not end up being my favorite movie I had seen last year. It's definitely up there though.):

Tucker & Dale Vs Evil is the feel good horror comedy of the year! See it with an audience if you can, or with a group of friends, because it will surely be a different experience than if you watch it by yourself.

When the movie starts, the jokes are kind of hit-and-miss. But once things get rolling (it didn't take very long), I was laughing non-stop. The cast is all around excellent and they really sell the jokes. Tyler Labine steals the show as Dale, he absolutely nails the role. I was a little confused by the Donnie Darko tattoo on his arm (at least I think that is what it was), but that was easily overlooked. Even the college students are great, especially Jesse Moss (Ginger Snaps) and the lovely Katrina Bowden.

My only real problem is the trailer reveals way too much, including some of the best gags in the movie. Aside from the "campfire story" they tell early on, the trailer pretty much shows every death in the movie except for two. If you haven't seen the trailer yet, I would suggest: DON'T! Just go in blind and prepare to laugh until it hurts. But even if you have seen the trailer, it shouldn't spoil the experience for you. The humor is non-stop, there are so many great lines and gags throughout the movie. My favorite bits involved a character's "bowling fingers" being cut off, resulting in a hilarious scene at the end of the movie. Even though it is a horror movie, the comedy really takes the forefront.

Tucker & Dale Vs Evil is easily my favorite movie I've seen so far this year! There really hasn't been much in the way of competition yet though, especially in the horror genre. I wouldn't be surprised if it is dethroned by the end of the year, but you never know. I doubt it is going to blow anyone away, it is just a fun FUN movie! It was a great theatrical experience, the best I've had in a while!

This looks hilarious. I wouldn't mind seeing this myself. Looks like there are some pretty nasty killings in the film.

A great movie. Really really funny. Workshed was right though, stay away from the trailer as it contains a load of spoilers.

Tyler Labine as Dale is fantastic!

"Tale! Ducker!"

Man, I enjoyed this. Great comedy--exceptionally clever premise. When the kids turned on Tucker and Dale, I was glad to see the film exceed beyond its initial setup. Katrina Bowden was a knockout, and Tyler Labine was more than one-note, which was a nice portrayal. Alan Tudyk's Tucker did not seem as well-rounded. The guy from Ginger Snaps (Jesse Moss) does not stray too far from his range as The Guy in Ginger Snaps, and, hey, isn't that the guy from Harpers Island (acting, again, the same)?

Very fun kills and reactions.

I saw it a couple of weeks ago at the Colony Theater in Raleigh,N.C. A very funny and often witty black comedy with a great cast and loads of over the top gore. The crowd I saw it with loved it.While the theatrical run will likely be skimpy I suspect this will become a firm fan favorite over the next few years.Lots of fun !

I saw this on Time Warner Cable On Demand Saturday. It's very funny. The Blu-Ray and DVD comes out November 29th. I will definitely order this, Chillerama, and Smallville Season 10 all out on that day.

It's streaming on Netflix now. I just watched it and thought it was a blast. Nearly the best horror film of the year (Attack the Block still tops it).

This ranks right up there with Stake Land as one of my favorites of the year. Had an absolute blast with this one. Can't wait to see what the writer/director comes up with next.

Finally checked this out after holding out for over a year as for some reason I didn't think it would be my cup of tea. I don't know what I was a expecting but I should have checked it out sooner. It's a fun and refreshing take on a familiar premise. I'll be picking up the blu-ray when I get a chance.

I also waited a long time until I finally bought the Blu-ray a few months ago. Hilarious movie. Haven't laughed that much during a movie in quite a while.
