Yep, I'm back bugging you guys and I also brought a little something to sink your teeth into: A Hammer questionnaire!

Like I said in my other thread before, I'm kinda new to this stuff and thought it would be interesting to see why you people like those Hammer films so much. Shall we start? Here we go:
(If you feel the need to name more than one, then go ahead!)

1. Which Hammer film was the first one you ever saw?

2. Which Hammer film is your personal favorite?

3. Which Hammer film do you think is totally underrated?

4. Which Hammer film do you think is totally overrated?

5. Which "Hammer" director is your favorite?

6. Which "Hammer" actress is your favorite?

7. Which "Hammer" actor is your favorite?

8. Which "Hammer" character is your favorite?

9. Which "Hammer" genre is your favorite?

10. Name your favorite "Hammer" music composer.

11. All-time favorite scene(s)/quote(s) from a Hammer movie.

12. Which Hammer film are you eager to see on DVD?

13. Which Hammer film did you enjoyed the least?

14. Why the heck do you love Hammer films?

Man, this is a tough one, but here goes:
1. "Horror Of Dracula", back in the early '70s. (Could be "Prince Of Darkness" or "Brides Of Dracula", but I'm pretty sure it's "Horror...".)
2. "Horror Of Dracula". (Extremely difficult decision actually. I often swing back and forth between "Brides Of Dracula", "Prince Of Darkness" and "Revenge Of Frankenstein" as well, but "Horror..." gets the vote.)
3. "Mummy's Shroud". (Or "Dracula A.D. 1972".)
4. "Vampire Lovers". (Or "Blood From The Mummy's Tomb".)
5. Terence Fisher. (No contest !.)
6. Judy Geeson. (Ok, she's only done one, "Fear In The Night", hopefully coming next year from AB, but I'm a fan in general.)
7. Peter Cushing. (Closely followed by Chris Lee and Ralph Bates.)
8. Van Helsing.
9. Horror.
10. James Bernard.
11. The final battle in "Horror...", goes without saying of course. (Quotes; sorry, I don't recall any in particular right now.)
12. "Revenge Of Frankenstein".
13. "Vampire Lovers".
14. Their look, their sets, their atmosphere, and the 13 other good reasons above.

Oh boy...

1. Are you kidding? I won't even attempt to remember, it was so long ago. More than likely, it was one of the Draculas or Frankensteins.

2. Rasputin

3. Prehistoric Women :D

4. There are no overrated Hammer films. :)

5. Terence Fisher

6. Well, you said "actress", so I take it you're looking for actual acting abilities? I'd have to say Ingrid Pitt or Martine Beswisk. As for looks, geeze, how can you pick just one? I'll start with Susan Denberg, Caroline Munro, the Collinson Twins, Ursula Andress... just to name a few.

7. Peter Cushing

8. Van Helsing (and Gustov Weil)

9. in childhood, Dracula, in adulthood, The Karnsteins :D

10. easy, James Bernard

11. all of Dracula's demises, his first victim in Dracula Has Risen from the Grave (babe hangin' from the belfry, drippin' blood)... again, how can you choose just one?

12. TWINS OF EVIL!!

13. Vengeance of She

14. for all the obvious reasons - suspense, shock, atmosphere... cleavage :)

1. Which Hammer film was the first one you ever saw?
The Evil of Frankenstein(1964)...I was about 13 or 14 at the time and i was home sick during a school day(naturally)..and I came upon it on AMC..funny thing was, i was rather appaled by it it.I guess becasue at the time I was more familar with the "Universal" approach..and I guess I just didn't like how the material was treated....and I hated it.

2. Which Hammer film is your personal favorite?
The Revenge of Frankenstein(1958)..not the best of the series(that would be Frankenstein Must Be Destroyed(1969)) but one of the best, it's a wonderful low-key film, with wonderful performances, sensative direction by Terence Fisher, and a good dose of Black Humor.

3. Which Hammer film do you think is totally underrated?
There's too many....blame the main-stream critics!

4. Which Hammer film do you think is totally overrated?
The Brides of Dracula(1960)..too often considered one of Fisher's and Hammer's best films...for one I beg to ask if anybody even noticed the uneven structure/story of the film....plus I find the whole affair rather hard-going....it has a strange patch-work feel to it that I could never get myself engulfed into....

5. Which "Hammer" director is your favorite?
Well he's my favorite director--Terence Fisher...and well I've studied his films for quit awhile now...and well he was basically Hammer...well in a way..I mean...as apposed to their success in the Horror genre...

6. Which "Hammer" actress is your favorite?
Barbara Shelly.......wonderful in The Gorgon(1964) , Dracula, Prince of Darkness(1965), Shadow of the Cat(1961)....

7. Which "Hammer" actor is your favorite?
Peter Cushing ALL THE WAY MAN!

8. Which "Hammer" character is your favorite?
Most would say Lee's Dracula, I mean don't get me wrong..Chris Lee is THE Dracula, but I'd go with Cushing's Baron Frankenstein.

9. Which "Hammer" genre is your favorite?
Horror....of course.

10. Name your favorite "Hammer" music composer.
James Bernard...with Don Banks coming in second...though I must admit Don Banks score for EVIL OF FRANK is my fav of any Hammer film...

11. All-time favorite scene(s)/quote(s) from a Hammer movie.
God, too many......

12. Which Hammer film are you eager to see on DVD?
The Revenge of Frankenstein(1958)....with plent of extras damnitt!

13. Which Hammer film did you enjoyed the least?
Ugh...without question....the peice of tripe it is..Curse of the Mummy's Tomb(1964)...candinate for worst Hammer Horror!

14. Why the heck do you love Hammer films?
Becasue....gothic Horror at it's finest in vivid technicolor....:)..ok maybe that was corny..but,oh well...
