This movie scared me shitless when I first saw it back in the 70s. So much so that I really can't watch it these days without getting childhood flashbacks

Still only found a few places that have this up for pre-order, Some of the usual sites don't have it listed, Amazon have got it up so that's a good indication that it's still coming.

I haven't watched this since I was a kid which I recall being kinda weird and creepy, but not that memoriable as far as having rewatch value. I've had it on DVD for a while, but have yet to watch it again so I wonder if that means a Blu would just collect dust on my shelf. I must re-revisit.

I think Hopkins gives one of his best performances in this, Truly outstanding. 10/10 for creepiness, Well worth a re-visit, Great soundtrack from Jerry Goldsmith too.

If this is region locked i`m going to punch somebody !!!
My favourite hopkins movie, his acting in this is outstanding !
Although as said above the dvd looks great, doubt it could look much better in HD. Sometimes you feel like a fish looking at a hook. Would be interested in any extras though.

I truly enjoy this film myself, but it isn't one I will feel the need to upgrade to. I'm fine with the DVD.
I recall when the film came out to theaters, the TV spots were absolutely creepy as hell. I give this film a hearty recommend and think it is a good blind buy for anyone who hasn't seen it yet.

It is region locked, Dunno why the DVD was region 0, Ah well...

Anyone here viewed the blu-ray? I've seen the DVDBeaver review, but I'm just curious. Do you guys think it is worth upgrading the DVD?

Thanks, it is $9.99 at Best Buy online, so I'm thinking about it.
I want a couple of the $5.99 LionsGate titles (think I'm going to upgrade Requiem, Basic Instinct, and Descent), so I'm trying to decide if I want to just grab them in-store, or go over $25 with Magic to get free shipping.
