So I didn't even know they were closing shop, but the website no longer exists and I have read on some other sites that this has been confirmed. I shot them an email this morning requesting a refund of an order I had placed that was outstanding and was paid via paypal. I better be getting a response from someone soon...I want my refund. The least they could have done was sent out e-mail notifications that they were closing down.

I went to their website about 4-5 days ago, and noticed it redirected to a standard web domain page.

Kinda sucks if they did close, they carried some good stuff. I never ordered from them much, but never had a problem with the few orders over the years.

It looks like it is going to get harder to find the things we horror fans like.

Wow, this came out of left-field. I had gotten some "Our Biggest Sale Ever!" emails a few weeks back, but didn't realize they were advertising a clearance sale. Bummer, these guys were a decent site for foreign releases with good prices, starting to get harder and harder to get Asian Blu/DVD releases.

Even though I got my multi-region BD player from them I didn't care for them much at all. Their catalog sucked, 80% of the titles I went looking for there come up in a search like they were in stock and then when you go to the page for them it says they don't have it. Then sometimes you order something that says in stock and they don't have it in stock. What is this, 1996?
hehe, I remember I got a refund from them and they gave it to me in "Flix Bux" so I sent them an email demanding a charge back to the card I paid for the order with, they did this but forgot to take back the store credit so I got like $50 off my BD player! :]
I guess it sucks that there is one less import shop out there though.

Been a few years since I ordered from them, but I did get a lot of Asian titles from them over the years. Another site bites the dust... :(

Wow, that's a hell of a surprise. Wonder why they didn't say it was all a closing sale? Maybe they didn't really know themselves?

I bought from them now and again, a few select items were great deals and I'd jump on those. Really wish I had gotten the Vampire Girl Vs. Frankenstein Girl T-shirt deal they had.

I bought a lot of stuff from them over the years, but hadn't bought anything in several years at least. Still, I'd be sad to see them go. Their service was always great for me.

For me, they were a one-stop shop for some studios releases. I recently purchased a couple of titles in their sale that they were almost giving away.

I contributed reviews occasionally and really appreciated their Flix Bucks. I'll miss 'em!:(

File a dispute on the transaction via PP. Used to be you only had 30 days now you get 45. Once they fail to reply with a confirmation # you will receive a refund. Sure it's a bit nerve racking and time consuming but its better then nothing. If you paid with a real credit card then do a chargeback.

Apparently HKFlix.com was sold to new owners as of Oct/2009. While there's no info one what happened since that date user's a link where the Original founder of HKFlix.com speaks out (http://www.cityonfire.com/original-founder-of-hkflix-com-speaks-out/).

I liked their site and it stinks to see them close down. I kind of wonder what Mhat Bernstein sold the company for. Instead of coming out now and saying he sold it two years ago, I thought that sucked and should have said he sold it when he did.

I never purchased anything from HKflix, but have got my Asian releases movies from YESAsia.com and they seem to be good with my money / service.

Again, sorry to see them go and DISSED out the customers they just pushed away or screwed over from pending purchases. :(
