I just saw a post on aus.dvd from a guy that saw a release sheet at his local Video store listing an australian DVD and VHS release of Bruiser on April 7. Needless to say, I am pretty surprised and waiting to hear more information. I might actually <shudder> visit my local video store for the first time in three years to see what is going on, and who the distributor is.

Hmm, I just did some investigations at the Office of Film and Literature (http://203.41.245.34/boss/public/viewProd.asp?db_id=169682), and it is not just a rumour, it has been classified for home video, and the distributor is 21st Century Pictures. I will see what else I can turn up.

Great news Napalm, Ive been hyped on this movie for quite some time. Although he compares it to Martin and that just wasnt my cup of tea.

OK, people, I've just gotten off the phone with the distributor in Australia (21st Century Pictures, +61-7-9555-7133), and it IS scheduled for both VHS AND DVD. The release date is May 9, 2001.

And by the way Dave, Australia is R4, not R2... :)

According to Fangoria's Chopping List, Bruiser will be released from Trimark in late 2001.
