Who's releasing it? :eek2:
On DVD Aficionado, it shows this being released by S'more Entertainment. I guess they've put some other stuff out, but I've never heard of them.

Same question I asked when I heard about it.
S'more Entertainment (http://www.smoreent.com/buy-dvd-cd/index.php?cPath=3_35)
I've never heard of them either. But, goddamn, I never thought this flick would hit DVD. I remember seeing it way back in the day. Fang even did a Retrospective on it, too.

They've got a facebook page, too. Left a post asking them what they've got lined up for special features, and whether it's going to be anamorphic, or not.

From IMDB, ALTERNATE VERSIONS:
The Dutch version is the only fully uncut one. All other versions (Greek, Japanese, Australian, US, German, UK...) are cut in gore scenes, basically because they are based on the R-Rated US-Version. The Australian Rental Tape, the German and the UK Version are even more cut than the USA R-Rated version.
UK releases featured the edited R-rated print. Although passed uncut for cinema the video suffered 1 min 24 secs of additional BBFC cuts with edits to a man's hand being severed with a blow torch, Joe's death inside a pig carcass in a slaughterhouse, shots of Sally stabbing herself in the stomach, and shots of Vito being shot, covered in petrol and set alight.

No response yet from S'more Entertainment, from the email I sent, or from the facebook page I posted.

Okay here's the skinny on RETRIBUTION, well as much of a skinny as the company would reveal.
They answered my email: "We're starting with a new film to video transfer, and will include at least an interview with Guy Magar...we're exploring the creation of other possible features as well.We know how special "Retribution" is and we're treating the release accordingly."

I've seen this pattern over and over. For whatever given reason most dutch releases have an intact film. I'd say only a handful of films ever get released in they're unaltered uncut work print form. I'm referring to dutch releases which seem to be work prints ported over on VHS. So unless S'more are working with the original work print I'd say it's highly unlikely this will be uncut. In allot of cases companies are working with some old MPAA cut negative. Anyway I'd really like to know how so many Dutch releases got they're hands on uncut film prints? I've always been fascinated by that to no end. :eek1:

Someone in the know, the person, I got this news from, on another site, just told me they WILL BE releasing the UNCUT version. He wasn't sure, though, about whether it's going to be anamorphic, or not.

Definitely going to hold off buying this until it's 100% confirmed Uncut.

Bad news, sort of. Here's what S'more Entertainment had to say when I asked if the release date of 9/27 was still good, after seeing that this movie was no longer on Amazon or DVD Pacific: "S'more is not releasing the title and have relinquished rights back to the producer/director.... and I believe he will be releasing it on his own, without using a distributor."
