It's said that you haven't really made it as a true horror franchise until you've resurrected the series from its seeming end. FRIDAY survived a Final Chapter, Freddy lived on after FREDDY'S DEAD, Michael walked again after being beheaded in H20, and now, FINAL DESTINATION has death doing his thing once more after previous promising "THE FINAL DESTINATION". Nothing is Final in horror, especially when money is to be made!

We asked you guys your favorite in the series when the third film came out here (http://horrordigital.com/vb3forum/showthread.php?t=28633), but two films later and a lot of years in the rearview mirror...which one stands up as your favorite now?

FD2 edges out the first installment just slightly for me.

The second and third. I dunno, the second is just an inch better and the third one is just flat out so entertaining, fun characters and cool deaths. The first is alright, but the rest are craptastic.

Haven't seen 3 or 5, but I'm going to have to with the original.

The original by far for me, but I do think this is a for the most part very solid series.

Man, tough call. Just watched FD 5 this weekend. I have see all 5 FD's, and have 1, 2 and 3 on DVD, and Part 4 on Blu-Ray 3D. I think it's a tie between the first and 5th one.

Yeah this is tough. As of right now I am going to go with,

Final Destination
Final Destination 3
Final Destination 5
Final Destination 2
The Final Destination

But I think I need to re-watch the whole series and then truly decide. For anyone that hasn't seen the 5th one yet, run to your theater and do so before it's gone, and so it does well enough to get another one in the series! It was really good, and after re-watching the series it may end up being my favourite.

I love them all for different reasons.

The first is just a great original horror film, well thought out and executed. I would go as far as to call it brilliant.

The second started the "mindless fun" aspect of the series. It still tried to develope some characters, but the kills took center stage and the fun began.

3 was also very fun, but might be my least favorite.

4 is just great mindlessness and is perfect as an 80 minute escape into gore and silliness.

5 I've only seen once but it has a strong chance of being my favorite of all, have to see how it holds up to repeat viewings (repeat viewings made 4 better as I didn't love it from the get).

All that said, 2 is still my favorite, but I won't part with any of them. I won't even part with my dvd of 3 if the blu-ray doesn't have the 'choose your fate' option. While kinda weak, I always like seeing alternate kills and gore. Can't wait for 2 on blu! I almost bought the Canadian BD a while back but chose to hold off for a better version.

never been a huge fan, but i've watched them nonetheless. i've only seen each of them once, so my memory is fairly shady for all but part 4 (haven't seen 5 yet). i guess i would have to go with part 1.

First one for me - I havent seen 5 yet but I think its a pretty safe bet #1 will stay #1 with me

I've only seen the first two, and I had to go with #1. It had a fun concept and pretty good jump-scare/shocking kills for its time. it's tough to craft these films without a traditional "villain" and I think the ability to do so had already waned by #2.

Having not seen the new one yet: 2, 1, 3, 4

4 was so fucking terrible that I had no intention of seeing the new one, but after reading some of the comments on this site...maybe.

Haven't seen 5 yet. But I think 3 is the most fun, followed up by 2,1, and then 4.

easily the 1st one followed closely by the 2nd part...

The original. Haven't seen the new one yet but being that sequels rarely surpass the original I feel confident my opinion won't change. Part 4 was the weakest so I don't have high expectations.

I've yet to see the latest installment, but as it stands part 2 is my favorite. No matter how many FD films Hollywood churns I doubt they can out do that opening car crash scene from the second film. I remember seeing it in theaters and my jaw hit the floor from all the carnage!

Just watched the fifth. Still think the first is the best with the most replay value.

As I also posted in the FD5 thread I just saw the fifth as well and was surprised at how good it was. The original is still my fave though.

I'd say the 5th is as good if not better.

Honestly guys, I wasn't sure what to expect after the crapfest that was part 4 but all the positive reviews (From horror sites) sold me, and I'm glad I saw it as it is really damn good! Everyone go see it so we can get another one, as the 5th one sets up for some more. Don't let part 4 stop you from seeing this one in theaters or you will be disappointed. Up there with Piranha 3D for one of the most fun experiences at the theater, and one movie that's actually worth the extra money for the 3D.

I liked the 1st and 2nd and skipped 3 and 4. Just saw the 5th one in 2D and I wish I saw it in 3D. I agree with spawningblue, it's up there with Piranha 3d. Worth the price of a 3D ticket.

Loved part one mostly for two reasons: John Denver & the bus scene.

I would probably have to go with the second, but the fifth one is absolutely fantastic! The first is also great, and the third and fourth are ok.

Part two, by a fair margin. I like four and five quite a bit, too, for their no-nonsense approach. Three is easily my least favorite, despite having some of the best deaths, and the series has gotten so far away from the first film I almost can't compare it to it's sequels.

Part 4 would've been good had it been a stand alone film.

I've enjoyed them all to various degrees but my favorite is the second film.

I'd probably have to say 1,3,2 and I couldn't even get through 4 it was so bland. Have yet to see 5 yet, kind of hestitant since part 4 was so abysmal.

After seeing 5 I gotta say that it's in my top three after 1 & 2 for favorites in this series.

That's the same order I would put the series in, and as well I hated part 4! Go see part 5, it is amazing, possibly my favourite in the series, definitely up there either way.

That's cause Part4 had no Tony Todd, I think that's the secret to this series. The more Todd you have the better the movie & Part 5 had lots of Todd & Part 4 had no Todd. lol

I won't even watch Part 3, so Tony Todd or no, I doubt he's the secret to what makes these movies work.

I've only seen the first movie, which I thought was pretty good.

But those reviews for part 5 are interesting. If I actually sit through parts 1 and 2 and find out I enjoy part 5 more, it'll be worth sitting through them.

I recently watched 3 and The "Final" Destination, thought 3 was great, had a really good atmosphere and actually felt the most horror of the 4 (I'm still yet to see 5). But TFD was awful, too short, poor acting (not that the previous films had great acting but it was better than this) and the 3D aspect was poorly executed. I'd rank them like this right now:

3
1
2
TFD
