10-11-2011, 10:10 AM
Well they used to own Suspiria. I'd love to see that on blu by them.

Gore Lunatic
10-11-2011, 11:19 AM
So many titles to choose from so I'm gonna cheat a little and say The Blind Dead Collection :p.

10-11-2011, 11:54 AM
Have to go with Dead & Buried.

10-11-2011, 12:37 PM
Since they don't own Suspiria anymore It would need to be Opera.

10-11-2011, 12:40 PM
Have to go with Dead & Buried.

Hasn't that already been released?

10-11-2011, 12:52 PM
I'm looking forward to getting the Zombie blu-ray in a week or so.

10-11-2011, 01:09 PM
I think "Contamination" is worthy of an upgrade :)

10-11-2011, 01:38 PM
night train murders

10-11-2011, 01:39 PM
Tough call...I am thinking Blind Dead.

10-11-2011, 01:44 PM
I'd have to go with either the blind dead collection or Night Train Murders.

10-11-2011, 01:47 PM
Blind Dead Collection, definitely!

10-11-2011, 01:51 PM
Hitch-Hike (Uncut) (1977)

They've done a wonderful job re-releasing the titles I was looking for the most. I haven't seen Hitch-Hike yet.

10-11-2011, 01:53 PM
I'll say Opera, I don't think they've done that one.

10-11-2011, 01:56 PM
Don't Torture a Duckling

The most Fulci on Blu the better.

10-11-2011, 01:56 PM
That would be the whole Blind Dead collection for me.

10-11-2011, 02:01 PM

10-11-2011, 02:33 PM
Wow, what an awesome prize! My pick would have to be Opera as well.

10-11-2011, 02:35 PM
Opera would be awesome--but I'd also say Saovi's Stage Fright would be great!

10-11-2011, 02:42 PM
They got so many good ones it's tough to pick just one. But as no-one's said it yet I'm gonna say Mark Of The Devil.

10-11-2011, 03:02 PM
Since Zombie & House by the Cemetery are releasing this month, the next most desireable title, to me, is Cohen's Q- The Winged Serpent. Something about this film has really stuck with me over the years and I suspect that it would look great in HD!

10-11-2011, 03:04 PM
Q-The Winged Serpent for me, Carradine, Moriarty and a big feck off winged monster, Cohen's best for my money ;)

10-11-2011, 03:20 PM
Hasn't that already been released?

On DVD, not Blu-Ray, that I'm aware of. I have the Limited Edition DVD of Dead & Buried.

10-11-2011, 03:24 PM
Oops. Didn't know that, in fact, Dead & Buried is already on Blu-Ray. The other movie would be Manhattan Baby. Purchased my DVD years ago, and just upgraded to Blu-Ray just about 4 1/2 months ago.

10-11-2011, 03:30 PM
I'd love to see Cannonball come out on Blu-ray. Blue Underground did a good job on their old DVD, but it'd be great to see this in HD!

10-11-2011, 03:34 PM
night train murders

I'd have to go with either the blind dead collection or Night Train Murders.

Night Train Murders is coming out on Blu-Ray in January.

My choice for the contest would be:

Shock Waves

Mutilated Prey
10-11-2011, 03:52 PM
I'm going with the Blind Dead Collection too.

10-11-2011, 03:58 PM
Opera for me. My Anchor Bay copy had a case of the DVD rot. Having it on bluray would be ideal.

Kim Bruun
10-11-2011, 04:02 PM
Shock Waves, if they still own it. I love that movie! And an awesome prize indeed! :)

Body Boy
10-11-2011, 04:03 PM
Case of the Bloody Iris.

Love that film.

10-11-2011, 04:11 PM
Tough call but I'm going to go with Eugenie De Sade.

10-11-2011, 04:12 PM

10-11-2011, 04:23 PM
For a top pick, I'd go with Emanuelle in America.

10-11-2011, 04:28 PM
Ill go with Opera.

10-11-2011, 04:32 PM
nightmare city. just cause.

10-11-2011, 04:40 PM
Fight For Your Life would be number one.

But would also love to see the Blind Dead collection and the Mondo Cane collection jump to the upgraded format as well.

10-11-2011, 04:55 PM
The Blue Underground title I would like to see on Blu-Ray would be Dario Argento's Opera also.

10-11-2011, 05:11 PM
Lots of great titles to pick from (and it's probably a long shot), but I would really love to see Shock Waves on Blu-ray.

10-11-2011, 05:19 PM
Deathdream and Shock Waves.

Not horror, but wouldn't mind getting The Loveless as well.

10-11-2011, 05:50 PM

10-11-2011, 06:14 PM
Suspiria would far and away be #1, but since they don't own it anymore I'd have to say Anguish.

10-11-2011, 06:19 PM
I'll go with one of the most underrated giallos, Who Saw Her Die? Venice would undoubtedly look great in hi-def. And Morricone's score is one of my favorites. A lossless track would sound fantastic.

If you answered Suspiria and you're region-free, the Cine-Excess Region B Blu-ray disc is a substantial audio and video upgrade over the Anchor Bay DVD. Whites sometimes run a little hot and the thundering lossless track leans a little too far toward the high end. But overall it's a very impressive rendering of the film.

Shawn Francis
10-11-2011, 06:22 PM
Q, THE WINGED SERPENT. Thank you. My work is done here.

10-11-2011, 06:33 PM
I would like to see Manhatten Baby upgraded simply so I can let go of my old fulci 2 pack. However part of me wants to see Contamination too. How freaky would it be to see that ridiculous monster at the end in hi def?!

10-11-2011, 06:56 PM
Awesome contest! As for my pick, hard to choose since they have the rights to so many great movies, but like many on here the want I want the most is the Blind Dead collection!

10-11-2011, 07:56 PM
Out of all I can think of, Shock Waves is the one I've yet to actually see, although I've always been intrigued by the great cover art. Would be great to watch it for the first time on blu.

I am a recent convert to the Blind Dead series, so that would be fun as well.

10-11-2011, 08:13 PM
The BLIND DEAD collection!!! I have yet to buy the boxset in hopes of a BD release.

10-11-2011, 08:30 PM
The Blind Dead Collection. With coffin.

10-11-2011, 08:48 PM

10-11-2011, 10:08 PM
It's a real toss-up between Don't Torture a Duckling, Deathdream and The Blind Dead Collection. Hell, I'd settle for just Tombs getting the treatment if they don't think releasing them all is a wise business decision. I HAVE heard that Don't Torture a Duckling hasn't sold much at all for them, so that's a Blu we may never see, or it'll be a long time until we do. Too bad a lot of people apparently don't seem to see the greatness of his giallo work :(

Hmmm, wouldn't mind Keoma either. Imagine that ear-piercing theme in uncompressed HD audio :p

10-11-2011, 10:27 PM
I would love to see The Case of the Bloody Iris on Blu Ray.

10-11-2011, 11:39 PM
Hell of the Living Dead would look fantastic on blu-ray sure the film isnt that great but it has tons of crappy acting, cheesy gore and most importantly the awesome goblin music from dawn of the dead!!!

10-11-2011, 11:51 PM
Out of all I can think of, Shock Waves is the one I've yet to actually see, although I've always been intrigued by the great cover art. Would be great to watch it for the first time on blu.

As much as I would love this, it is my understanding that BU had trouble coming up with good enough source materials to put a DVD together and that a BD is almost entirely out of the question. :(

10-12-2011, 12:05 AM
Deathdream for me, it's one of my favorite horror films! The dvd looks great but it would be cool to see it in HD.

10-12-2011, 12:23 AM
I would have to say GOD TOLD ME TO or Q The Winged Serpent would look great. OPERA would be a great visual treat as well.

Johnny Macabre
10-12-2011, 12:37 AM
For me it would be Tombs Of The Blind Dead.

10-12-2011, 12:48 AM
The Blind Dead Collection, and if they throw this on as an extra I'll weep a little bit: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pgX4-UnlkvU

Marshall Crist
10-12-2011, 01:08 AM
If they released the Blind Dead set on Blu-ray, maybe they could dial back the over-the-top blue tinting they added to GHOST GALEON. That would be nice.

10-12-2011, 01:24 AM
Tombs of the Blind Dead for me!

10-12-2011, 02:01 AM
I think Baba Yaga would make be a great one. The first time I saw it was on a cheap Diamond DVD and I didn't like the film. I took a chance and upgraded to the Blue Underground DVD and now love the film. I think seeing it in a much better transfer really helped me enjoy it more, so Blu-Ray would even be better (I hope!).

Mutilated Prey
10-12-2011, 02:04 AM
and if they throw this on as an extra I'll weep a little bit: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pgX4-UnlkvU

Weird

10-12-2011, 02:27 AM
I really dug Autopsy, so that's my choice

10-12-2011, 03:02 AM
I would have to say Opera, but there are some others that I have not checked out yet (like the Blind dead collection) that would be nice to see on Bluray for first time viewing.

Myron Breck
10-12-2011, 03:02 AM
It's a toss-up for me: SHOCK WAVES or THE LOVELESS.

10-12-2011, 03:06 AM
I have to go with The Black Cat!!!

10-12-2011, 04:02 AM
Deathdream would be my #1 for sure.

10-12-2011, 04:21 AM
I will go with Opera although Q The Winged Serpent would be pretty cool too.

10-12-2011, 04:38 AM
As much as I hate to sound like an echo, I have to say "Opera" as well. Although God Told Me To is a close second.

10-12-2011, 04:39 AM
Blind Dead Collection

10-12-2011, 04:54 AM
Dario Argento Opera

10-12-2011, 04:57 AM
Joe D'Amato's Emanuelle in America. Laura Gemser in HD is just the best idea ever.

10-12-2011, 05:36 AM

10-12-2011, 05:36 AM
I would certainly say a Blind Dead BR collection would be spectacular!

Erick H.
10-12-2011, 05:40 AM
I'd like to see one of their first releases,SHOCK WAVES ,get the Blu treatment.I know that the film was shot on Super 16 and they only have the director's print to work from but I'd still like to see what they could do with this title. Some new extras might be nice too.

Conal Cochran
10-12-2011, 05:46 AM
I waaaaant the Blind Dead Collection!!

10-12-2011, 07:04 AM
STAGEFRIGHT would be awesome.

10-12-2011, 07:15 AM
Let Sleeping Corpses Lie

10-12-2011, 07:35 AM
Let Sleeping Corpses Lie

Wish granted!

10-12-2011, 08:26 AM
Shock on Blu-Ray would be insane, that film is too overlooked. The Church is a second that could use the polish.

10-12-2011, 10:14 AM
I'd dress like an owl and kill to see 'StageFright' in HD.

10-12-2011, 12:16 PM
Stage Fright. I would have said The Crazies but it is already out, and looks amazing.

bwana the clown
10-12-2011, 01:16 PM
Easily the Blind Dead set for me.

10-12-2011, 02:35 PM
to see Mark of the Devil on Blu Ray

10-12-2011, 03:47 PM
Hard to pick one, so I'd go with Deathdream, Emanuelle in America, Fight for Your Life or The Loveless.

10-12-2011, 04:10 PM
Most hyped for Zombie already coming, followed by Torso, fucking A, I'm kinda set here!

I'll go with Mark of the Devil as I was digging on that and could see it being stunning in HD. Never understood the love of the Blind Dead films, they always bored me to tears.

Great prize brought everyone out of the woodwork didn't it?

10-12-2011, 04:16 PM
Would have said Suspiria if they had that title still, but Django Kill! is a good second I think. Hopefully one day.

10-12-2011, 04:23 PM
Since The Prowler is already done... I'm going to say RATS: Night of Terror.

10-12-2011, 04:28 PM
I'm going to say RATS: Night of Terror.

Slightly off topic, but you should get a kick out of this. Plus anyone who's seen Rats: Night of Terror or Runaway Ralph needs to watch this.

10-12-2011, 05:19 PM
Deathdream is my pick, but The Blind Dead collection would be great, too!

10-12-2011, 06:38 PM
Emanuelle In America! that's one of the only Black Emanuelle movies that doesn't make me yawn!

10-12-2011, 06:51 PM

10-12-2011, 07:06 PM
You know what? It's not horror but I'm going to say Starstruck. I've watched it probably about a dozen times since I bought the dvd and I think it would look and sound great on blu. It's one on of my favorite fluff movies to put on.

If you're looking for solely horror, I'd say Shock. It's one of the first Euro-horror discs I picked up when the Acnchor Bay version came out and I still really enjoy it.

And in case anyone wants another suggestion, I'd like to see Bone on blu simply because it's a great movie that's pretty overlooked and maybe this will get it some more exposure.

10-12-2011, 07:28 PM

10-12-2011, 07:40 PM
Would be Suspiria if possible, but otherwise Stagefright.

10-12-2011, 09:08 PM
It would have to be either Blind Dead or Mondo Cane

10-13-2011, 12:10 AM
Tombs of the Blind Dead!

10-13-2011, 12:49 AM
I don't know if I would buy the whole Blind Dead set again, but I'd love to at least see Tombs of the Blind Dead get a Blu ray release.

10-13-2011, 12:59 AM
Blind Dead

10-13-2011, 01:44 AM
I would have to say Opera or Stagefright. But Love Dario Argento so my third choice would be for Suspiria.

10-13-2011, 02:41 AM
Since I didn't buy the set, and probably the gents of Blue Underground are monitoring this topic, I'll add a +1 to Tombs of the Blind Dead so we can have a coffin set but with blu's in it.

10-13-2011, 03:01 AM
I'm going with Shock Waves. I think it's incredibly atmosphere and creepy, however the current DVD has a lot of grain. I would pick that one up on Blu for sure.

10-13-2011, 07:41 AM
The Blind Dead Collection would most definitely be number one on my list of upgrading to DVD.

10-13-2011, 08:07 AM
Night Train Murders.

10-13-2011, 08:31 AM
Suspiria, with Nightmare City a distant second.

10-13-2011, 02:55 PM
I wanna get zombie on Blu ray

10-13-2011, 03:34 PM
Has to be the Blind Dead Collection....

10-13-2011, 05:35 PM
I would love STAGEFRIGHT on blu-ray!

10-13-2011, 10:50 PM
Thankfully they've released most of my favorites already!

I'd go with Opera.

Goodbye Uncle Tom and Deathdream would be up there as well.

10-14-2011, 03:08 AM
I'd love to see an Anguish BD. That's a great movie with some awesome visuals.

10-14-2011, 03:13 AM
The Blind Dead Collection for sure. Conquest would be a welcome second. Wookie-Dogs in HD!

10-14-2011, 11:25 PM
I'll go with Stagefright.

10-15-2011, 01:27 AM
The Alan Clarke Collection because it's some of the most searing British cinema ever!

10-15-2011, 04:37 AM
The Blind Dead collection, without a doubt. Such beauty deserves to be sign in hi def!

Sinister Ash
10-15-2011, 06:02 AM
StageFright is my most wanted. Opera for a close second.

It's me, Billy
10-15-2011, 06:19 AM

10-15-2011, 08:31 AM
Blin Dead Collection...or Mondo Cane box set before I buy it again.

10-15-2011, 09:15 AM
I'd like to see more Giallo and more Edwige, say The Case of the Bloody Iris!

10-15-2011, 02:43 PM
Deathdream is a big favorite in our house so I'll go with that.

10-15-2011, 03:07 PM
Based on the aesthetics/location, I would have to go with The Blind Dead films. They are the most deserving.

10-17-2011, 03:49 AM
Don't Torture a Duckling

10-17-2011, 07:52 AM
Emanuelle In America on Blu-Ray, please

10-17-2011, 08:04 PM
The Prize Pigs are out in full force!

10-17-2011, 09:18 PM
Wow, thanks for all the submissions, everyone! They were forwarded to and read by the Blue Underground folks and I was even told that they are actually working on a few of the requests for a 2012 release. Great news!

Now, even better news for our winners. They are:

1st Place: Godless

A new contest begins today, are you ready!?

10-18-2011, 01:10 PM
Congrats to the winners. It was nice to see other folks choices, if even 1/4 of this stuff gets released on blu-ray we have plenty to look forward to.

10-18-2011, 02:56 PM
Congrats to the winners!

10-18-2011, 03:40 PM
