Just heard that our good old friends at Tartan DVD UK are releasing a cool version of this fantastic movie which hits the streets on 21/01/02 (01/21/02 to you americans ;) )

on ebay i got the region 3 version of this from hong kong. it is uncut, letterboxed, and subtitled. although it says region3 it is actually region 0 and is playable worldwide in ntsc. $15 --a bargain!!! :cool:

do a search for region 2 (although its 0) battle royale DVD

something i forgot to add. i got the dvd in a "dutch" auction from a guy in NY who had a batch delivered from hong kong. with s/h it added up to about $15. it's a hong kong release and it says region 3 on the cover, but it plays fine in my region 1 player. good luck! its very good and worth the effort. this film will NEVER be released here.

oh, and yes, your ANTI-SUSPIRIA thread did come back from the dead like one of Romero's zombies! :D

Just to add a quick note, my reg 3 Battle Royal played fine on one of my reg 1 players, but didn't play on the other. Either way this film is worth the risk, I can't count how many times I've watched it since I've picked it up. Amazing!

Reg 3 of BR is available for 10$ on DVD retailer from HK so think about bit before to buy it on ebay

I own the HK DVD of Battle Royal and it is RC3 coded. I checked with DVDGenie, PowerDVD and a rc2 only player. So maybe there are two diffrent versions of the dvd one region free and one rc3.
