Does anyone own this version? Is the picture quality comparable to the Dragon release?

I don't own this version but I assume the transfer is on par with the Dragon release, which isn't bad at all in my opinion. Couldn't find any German reviews though.
Appears to be a bargain re-release by another company and has less extras than the Dragon release.

DVD Profiler shows the back cover displaying the "Lionsgate" logo, so I assume it's a licensed transfer. It's probably similar to the Dragon DVD which had a superb 16x9 transfer.

Damn, why doesn't Lionsgate release this stateside already?! It's been "on the horizon" for over a year. I don't want this to end up a MOD DVD-R.

I saw Twilight in the title and I thought it was the people who did the Fright Night blu-ray.

So, i'm thinking about importing this one but would hate to get burned and have it end up being released as a special edition sometime next year....
Has anyone heard anything new on Lionsgate releasing this?

No, but they recently entered the MOD market, so it's possible.

Michael Felsher is Red Shirt Pictures and is on Facebook. Drop him a message and ask if so curious.

Regarding the Blood Diner DVD...this is from Jackie Kong's website, back in April:
"I know some of you have been writing the site anxiously awaiting the re-release of Blood Diner on DVD. And yes, I was told by the special features production company that it would be forthcoming in 2011. Though I was asked to do a commentary for it,unfortunately, I cannot get a firm answer on the DVD re-release date. Sorry to disappoint those of you waiting, but it looks like it's on hold from Lion's Gate for now."
Then in November she posted:
"We are trying to discuss a U.S. re-release of the DVD, and will let you know how it goes."
