Horror fans, it's been awhile since we've done a Photoshop contest, but thanks to a generous donation by longtime member SaviniFan we're bringing it back. Up for grabs is an autographed DVD of the Herschell Gordon Lewis documentary THE GODFATHER OF GORE. Signed by famed BASKET CASE director, and co-director of the documentary, Frank Henenlotter, the Something Weird DVD is quite the collector's item. So what do you need to do to win it?[/B]

To honor the great H.G. Lewis, who pioneered blood and gore in our most favorite of genres (and whose titles often reflected that), we're asking you to Photoshop any movie poster or home video cover to incorporate either the word "Blood" or "Gore" and try and make the poster reflect that by making the artwork suitably messy.

Here's an example:

Submit your picture entry as an attachment in a post in this thread (so we can preserve them for the history of the site, rather than have them RED X on us down the road).

Submissions will close a week from today on Sunday night, February 26th.

A winner will be voted on by the forum members, and it will be based on the overall creativity of the picture and not just the Photoshop skills of the artist.

Do Herschell proud...let's see some goreific entries!

Great submissions, folks. Tonight's the last night to get them in, let's see a few more! Great odds at this point at getting the prize.

Man, I wish I had a good idea and a photo program I knew how to use, but a new computer took away what I used to have and I can't figure out to do what I want or need with PS.:( Some great stuff already though, gonna be tough to vote on. Good luck to all who got in.

Yeah, I've been meaning to learn Photoshop for years, but I'm just too lazy. I always hate learning new software- me and computers really don't get along all that well.

Nice work Cooperkill. Annie is made even funnier to me simply because John Huston directed it. I really loved "Gone with the Limb" too.
