Any opinions on this film? Is it Grade A slasher cheese?

Also, The Slayer and The Redeemer are coming out in March. Savini's favorite film,;)Nightmare will be out in April. I don't know about you guys, but I'm looking forward to The Slayer and Nightmare on DVD!:D

Mark, I highly recommend Evil Laugh. Pure slasher cheese at its finest. I can't wait to get the disc.

I'm also looking forward to the releases of The Redeemer and Nightmare.

Ya this is good news.Lets just hope Lucky 13 dosent screw up and release The Slayer and Nightmare fullscreen..

They totaly blew it on the movie Slaughter House releasing it Full Screen..The slayer and slaughterhouse could have been filmed full frame but i doubt it..

Nightmare is widescreen , i hope they dont frik it up.

Vdlman, Evil Laugh sounds like fun. I found a review on it.
http://www.south-over.demon.co.uk/Hysteria/evil_laugh.html Haven't seen The Redeemer. If it's anything like Slaughter High, I'll buy it sight unseen.:D

Welcome to the forum, Joe. Cool Nightmare pic! Here's hoping it's widescreen.

Hey JoeLeo74, There's proof that it wasn't shot "square".On the dvd of Slaughterhouse there is some video footage from the 80's of Joe Barton (Buddy) entering a theater where it's screening. Alot of people said that Slaughterhouse was filmed open-matte full frame, but if you look at the old footage you can clearly see that the film is projected with quite a bit more side info than the dvd presents. It was a great experience (and a rare one)to be able to see footage of a film being projected during it's original theatrical run. I still like the Slaughterhouse dvd though, the extras alone are worth more than the price.

Cool info there Gunner.

Ya im probally going to pick up the dvd now and chk out them extras.Slaughterhouse really is the last great slasher movie to be made in the 80's, since then the slasher genre has been dead. :(

I can't recommend Evil Laugh enough! Man I rented this one and it was a blast! Hilarious stuff, some great scenes, and it's really memorable. I kept looking for the disc (someone here said it was released by Lucky 13) but no wonder I couldn't find it. Can't wait to get it! :D

I have Evil Laugh on VHS. Didn't like it very much. But is it gory? My copy doesn't contain any gore until the end.

THE REDEEMER(AKA CLASS REUNION MASSACRE) is a very strange film indeed, that is worth a second look. it actually does remind me of SLAUGHTER HIGH quite a bit. i can't wait for NIGHTMARE, and THE SLAYER as well. it would be great if they would release SCALPS also, so i could get rid of my SLAYER/ SCALPS double feature video.

Nightmare rocks! I hope it's uncut and in the correct aspect ratio. (some extras wouldn't hurt either).

P.S. If you check the Fango web site, it looks like they pulled the release date back to March.

That's a damn good question. My Best Buy didn't have it in stock and they usually carry the Lucky 13 titles. Hell, I didn't even see any pre-orders for it. I guess it's been pushed back with The Slayer, The Redeemer, and Nightmare.:(

My friend just got a copy of Evil Laugh.I think he said he ordered it directly through program power. www.programpower.com
I've also seen a few copies being sold on ebay for rediculous prices of near $40.00!

What has happened to Program Power/Lucky 13?

Slaughterhouse and Evil Laugh were released, but neither Nightmare, The Slayer, or Class Reunion Massacre have seen the light of day.

Their website no longer works either. I have a feeling they may have went under. Has anybody heard anything at all?

Quite frankly, I think Program Power sucks ass. I've been dying to have The Redeemer and The Slayer on DVD for a long time now, and these idiots announced releases for them ages ago. If they went under, I really hope someone else gets the rights and releases these gems soon.

Even when their website was working, it had not been updated in eons. They haven't released anything new in a long time either.

I think they're probably dead. Many of their titles are now backordered, or the supply is running on it's last remaining copies available.
