Has anyone seen this version only released in Germany so i am told. What new footage is included and what is the quality like?

it's in German only, and quality is all over the place - as it's a composite made up of many different sources.

Hi!
I'm from Germany so I sort of know whats up with it:
It's from Astro and called THE ULTIMATE FINAL CUT
Here in Germany there are a lot of peopel saying it's crap (quality and the cut itself!)!
Of course there are also a few who like it!
As a real fan I don't think you'll like it! First of all,me for example, I want to have that cut of the movie, like the director wanted it to be, nothing else, and this release is definetly not a DC!
Furthermore, Astro already released a lot of crappy tranfers, so be careful!
