Does anyone know websites about horror film locations ?
I know about the texas chainsaw massacre website and many dawn of the dead websites. Who knows how many famous horror movies were (partly) filmed near your own house !

Salem's Lot was filmed in Ferndale CA. 2 hours from me...pretty cool I guess.

I live in TN fairly near where they filmed Evil Dead. I've been in the woods around where the original cabin was, but I think the cabin had been burned or torn down.

Necro, all films on imdb (http://www.imdb.com) have a "filming location" tab by the bottom of the page, and most of them actually say where the film is shot. That is the best page out there for general information on any movie ever made.
Hope that helps!

Thanks ! I think this follow-up question will be interesting. Who has interesting stories about visits to horror film locations and which would you recommend?

Don't have any stories but I'd like to visit the Re-Animator house...would go visit the Chainsaw Massacre house but it got renovated.

The Monroeville Mall from Dawn of the Dead also would be a cool one.

I believe Jeepers Creepers was filmed here in Florida! Not sure where though & I haven't had a chance to see the docs on my DVD yet. Anyone know where exactly?
Even though this movie is non-horror...a film I know of that was filmed in my backyard was Edward Scissorhands. The neighborhood it was in filmed (with all them multi-colored houses) was a brand new development.
