What's on your "want list" or "to get" list for DVD and/or LD? Whether it's rare or you just can't afford it right now, but are you planning on getting down the road.

Some of mine are:

Salo Criterion LD (DVD is too expensive, though I may get that PAL UK DVD that's coming)

Waxwork LD (just got this off ebay for $12.00 - SWEEET)

Waxwork II LD (still looking)

Monster Squard LD (maybe)

Heaveny Creatures LD

I'm just trying to build my want list, trying to think of anything else I want. Figure seeing what you guys want will give me an idea of anything I'm missing. http://www.horrordvds.com/forum/smile.gif

Well, there's a few on my "want list"

Seven (SE)
Boogie Nights (SE)
Shanghai Noon
Princess Mononoke
On Her Majesty's Secret Service
Carnival of Souls
The Howling LD (thanks to Dave's friggin review)
Ed Wood LD
Godfather (WS LD)

But more than anything, I just want TIME to watch all the movies coming out and all the movies I've bought recently. Shadow of the Vampire, O Brother Where Art Thou, and Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon (I see that one this weekend!).

If that wasn't enough, I've still been going to town on that $5 laserdisc sale. Lately I've been buying the box sets (aka Film School in a Box) of Jaws, Alien, Aliens, The Abyss. Add that to the copies of Kiki's Delivery Service, The Frighteners (no, not the box set. Damn), Sneakers, Blow Out, Bram Stoker's Dracula, etc that I've bought. Plus, a week or so before this LD binge I've been on I got Fight Club, Dr. No, From Russia With Love, and Martin all on DVD and I've barely cracked the shrink wrap on those.

Best news I got was when my boss decided to give us 2 days off for X-mas, so I got a 4-day weekend to burn a good butt-print into my couch

My DVD want list is huge, but a few are

Elite NOTLD (I was one of the folks who thought it was OOP - best news I've had all week that it's not http://www.horrordvds.com/forum/smile.gif )

Zombie Holocaust
Dead & Buried
Criterion Brazil

LDs:
Motel Hell - I'm still kicking myself for letting this one get away on ebay recently. But I did just pick up the widescreen Heavenly Creatures so I'm a little happier http://www.horrordvds.com/forum/smile.gif

Final Countdown - this one's going to be expensive. VHS copies are going over $60 on ebay.

I can hardly wait for AB's 2001 horror releases, especially Opera.

Also, I need:

1) The 3 Bond box sets
2) Don't Torture A Duckling
3) The recent Bava box set
4) Two Thousand Maniacs
5) The Killer and Hard Boiled
6) Urotsukodji Parts 3 and 4
7) Naked Killer
8) The Halloween LD (Chances of me finding a copy of this in the UK now are virtually nil and I doubt I could afford the price!)
9) The Cell
10)X-Files: The Movie

to name just a few! Oh, for a lottery win...

Haxan
Fiend without a Face
Once Upon a Time in the West
The Warriors
Dr. Strangelove: special edition
Spartacus: special edition
Eraserhead (I forget where, but I read on a site to do with the Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me DVD release that DL had found some footage he thought he had lost, and would be including it on the upcoming DVD)

Back catalogue:
Jaws
Black Christmas (only $15-shipped from www.dvdtitlewaves.com (http://www.dvdtitlewaves.com) - they are fantastic, quick and courteous! I ordered the 2-disc Army of Darkness set in March for $26-shipped after it had sold out everywhere else, and I live in London)

Been trying to get this one on and off for awhile. What did you give and where did you find it? (I assume eBay)

Oh, you're gonna hate me for this Laserdogg...

You'll notice I mentioned the $5 laserdisc sale. Well, among the movies available was a copy of Kiki's Delivery Service. I KNOW this was one of the Holy Grails of laserdisc (right up there with the SE of The Frighteners), and didn't hesitate to pick it up. I knew I could make major profit on E-bay. Well, even though the movie is ONLY in Japanese, I watched it and LOVED it!! I haven't been impressed with too much Anime, but Kiki just rules (along with Jiji of course). This one will NOT be showing up on E-bay

I normally don't like Americanized voice-overs either, but in this case I'd jump at this release. I'm a fan of Hartman's and miss his comedy; the Simpsons just aren't the same without him. Kiki's Delivery Service looked real dumb to me when it came out here, but the way you guys keep talkin', I think I'm going to have to check it out.

That's cool that you got the import. Some have said the Disney dub changes the story somewhat. I would like to find the Disney LD that was released domestically, even though some of the english voice acting drives me nuts (Phil Hartman, for instance).
I would also like to locate My Neighbor Totoro, but I'm sure we will get a DVD someday.

Enjoy your rare find!
