On Showtime2 at 1:00 am fri. 1/25 The Burning will be shown. Set your vcr's because not only is it uncut but it looks absolutely beautiful, way better than the old hk vcd + no subtitles or fogging. I caught it on an airing about 2 months ago,I figured it would be just the old Thorn Emi censored version but was totally shocked when I saw the gore scenes intact. Just thought I would give a heads up to the other 80's summer camp slasher fans on this board.

So, did anyone catch it? That presentation is the best I've ever seen the film look, but I haven't seen the dragonfilm dvd.I recorded it on tivo and am going to make a vcd tonight (i missed out on recording it last time),that will do for me until mgm releases the dvd.Noticing how cramped the image looks in full frame along with "shot with pana-flex lenses" and "filmed in panavision" in the end credits I'm fully expecting mgm's release to be in 2.35:1. Does anyone know for sure what the original aspect ratio of The Burning is?

Any chance you can send me the VCD files or you could put them up one Kazaa/Morpheus? I've never seen this movie before and I keep hearing a lot about it.

Well,I'm actually an anti-computer person.I like the web but I don't use a computer for anything else but emails, and visiting my favorite sites. I make my vcds with a Terapin vcd recorder which is a stand alone recorder that doesn't require a computer.Sending the vcd files, etc. isn't something I know how to do nor do I wish to learn. If you email me *******1@yahoo.com maybe we can arrange something through the mail. I can record in vhs, svhs, and vcd formats.
