Why did it come in the same box that House came in?
Why was it not numbered?
Why does this all suck so much?

Consider it a bonus bang for your buck.

Anchor Bay also threw a Hellraiser 2 disc into the Hellraiser tin

The only mention of the bonus disc was a sticker on the shrinkwrap.

What I don't understand is: the House 2 and Hellraiser II discs were obviously already mastered, so why the waiting to package them separately?

Anchor Bay does some questionable things.

That's the way I saw it too! House II was a pretty decent throw-in & one of the main reasons I bought the House DVD!

Damn, I didn't know the Hellraiser Tin had HII along with it!

I think they wait because if you can get House/House II at Best Buy for $25, and House II alone for $20, no one will buy it. I actually can't imagine that House II will have enough of a following for it to sell well alone. I mean, anyone who really wanted it bought the initial release. Hell, I didn't even really want it, but I felt the need to purchase it anyway.

House 2 is coming out solo soon, just like Hellbound did.
I'd grab it for free with the first, and far better, movie while you can.

You think the original is better thatn House 2? I like the second better and is why I bought the double pack in the first place.

I also liked House 2 more than the first, but I also liked House. To me, both were excellent films. And that is why, I too, got the LE House dvd. Hell, I wanted both movies anyway.

There were some OK special effects in House II, but that movie blew. The 80's "humor" was just way too much for me, and I can only take a very small amount of "cute" in my horror movies. Yes I know that it was supposed to be a fantasy adventure movie or some such shit, not really a horror movie, but it had issues as either.

I love horror comedies, and the first House worked for me.
I couldn't really stand the second one though, even after tokin'. It was too much lame attempt at comedy, and almost no horror.
I know many like this better, but the only thing I liked was the tagline "the second story". I tried watching it twice, but just can't get into it. Therefor I'm glad I didn't have to pay extra for it, hell I even saved 3 or 4 bucks for not having to rent it!
I would sell it, but am weird about breaking up collections. Someday I'll try it again, just not soon.

Plus, I can't imagine you'd get much for your lone House II disc, just sort of floating there with not cover, or case, or anything.

Are you complaining? I'd be happy with the purchase.:)
Still a good deal though. Buy one, get one. I looked for this title(s) for months and I found a copy at Suncoast, so I rushed over and got it. I'll never part with either title. :)

You got that shit right, Peter Vincent. There's really no point in making them a seperate release. I don't think House 2 would sell good by itself anyway.:)
