Hey all...

I noticed this:

Now, this version of Evil Dead is not released until march 5th, which makes me wonder - is this simply another release around the time of the Book of the Dead edition, so that people that don't want to pay for the BOTD, will buy this one?

Nah, that's just the new Anchor Bay "non-limited" edition. This release is missing the second disc with all the featurettes included in the Book of the Dead Edition. As far as I know it's pretty much the same as the old Elite dvd, except this one's matted widescreen and has some new TV spots.

There is no "second disc" in both versions. Both versions come in a single DVD and they are different discs. The Book of the Dead edition has extra featurettes...

the new standard version of evil dead is now in stock at media play for those not getting the book of the dead
