Has anyone seen this movie? I almost bought it blind but changed my mind at the last minute and bought "Session9" & "Cube" instead.
Can anyone recommend it?

Good idea going with Session 9, far better movie. I actually knew what the hell was going on during it. And it scared me on several occasions.
The only thing Soul Survivors has going for it is Eliza Dushku's cans and a shiny DVD package. I guess Soul Survivors wasn't terrible, but it was incredibly confusing and not too entertaining, and the "Killer Cut" stuff isn't very exciting. They throw some girl who looks way too much like a dude in there naked for a second and try to pass it off like one of the lead actresses gets naked. No such luck. Not much blood or gore either. In fact it's barely a horror movie so the Killer Cut thing is rather ridiculous. But I guess I recommend you rent it, you might like it.

Eliza Dushku is the only reason I even considered buying it.

I have every intention of picking up Session 9, and almost did earlier this evening, but backed off until I'd read some reviews. Now I wish I'd grabbed it, Oh well, I know what I'm doing tomorrow ;)

She just shows a lot of cleavage in the movie, and has a fully clothed shower scene with the other girl in the movie, who is also fully clothed.

I grabbed my copy of Session 9 today, haven't got to sit down and watch it yet, but after reading the director's words inside the sleeve, I have a very good feeling.
On a side note, I rented Bones (the Snoop Dog horror movie) last night, and was actually surprised by how good it was. Not an award winner, but leaps and bounds beyond what i was expecting.

Hey I'm assuming you rented the DVD of Bones and I have a question about it, seeing as I only saw it on video. Any Ginger cans in it? I mean in the deleted bath tub scene? Maybe an ass shot? Anything? I'll probably buy it once we put it on sale previewed at Blockbuster, just I'm curious about the cans, if any. That dumb blonde broad didn't do it for me. Anyway I actually liked it too. Not bad, well until the "comic relief" near the end. You know what I mean.

If you liked "Jacob's Ladder", then you should enjoy "Soul Survivors".

....for a movie no one wants to see.
I'm sorry if you enjoyed this film, fine. I'd rather buy Barely Legal 12 than these fucking Artisan "special editions" when I'm still a bit sick of how they handled their NonHoSonno dvd.

My thoughts exactly. I would rather see a SE for Sole Survivor, a creepy little gem from the 80's.:D
As for Artisan special editions, I'm looking forward to the one for Angel Heart. Here's hoping that a commentary with Parker and Rourke is included!

There are no Ginger cans in the film proper, but I havn't had time to sit down and watch all the goodies yet. I'll probably do that this weekend, so I'll let you know.
Why on earth would you wait to buy it used at BlockBuster. One, don't ever give your money to that fascist organization, they are probably the number one reason why Sleepless came out the way it did. And two, you can go to Best Buy tonight and pick up a shiny new copy for $20, or wait 3 months, go to Blockbuster and get a chewed on used copy for $15. It just doesn't seem worth it to me. If you want the movie, then buy it.

There are several reasons I am waiting to buy it at Blockbuster. One I work there and get a discount on everything. Being that I work there, I can't really afford to buy everything I want as soon as I want to. And I'd say Bones will be on sale previewed in about 3 weeks and I've seen it, so I'm not in a huge hurry to watch it again in the next couple weeks, apart from seeing if Ginger's cans are visible in a deleted scene. And I check them before I buy them, they're usually in good condition. I've bought a ton of used DVDs and the only one that didn't work was my Quills dvd, but the one I exchanged it for works fine.
Regarding Sleepless I don't think Blockbuster has a lot to do with it. My Blockbuster only has three video copies of it, and no DVDs. It's not a big title for them. Of course it should be, I couldn't even watch my video I rented on account of the atrocious cutting, but I would blame it more on Artisan, they've really been slipping lately. Ginger Snaps anyone? Look at the crap they've been putting out, Mangler 2, Children of the Living Dead, the list goes on. They used to put out quality stuff, didn't they?

it's not very good. very glossy and loud, but no way good. it tries really hard to be good and twisty, but fails. it's confusing in a bad way. the plot is poor. the acting is good, but does not save it from forgotten dvd hell. eliza rocks. she should move on to better things.
