The Hills Have Eyes 2 is coming

According to Fangoria.com this title is coming on Sept. 10 by Image. Maybe this will get the wheels rolling on someone releasing part 1 soon.

Love ya' Wes,... but I've always thought Hills Have Eyes 2 is one of the worst, most abysmal sequels ever made... Why on Earth anyone would want to release it at all ?, much less before the first, good one was out on DVD, is beyond me.

I seem to remeber reading an interview years ago (probably when Scream made Wes a "cool" bankable filmmaker again) in which Craven said he only did it for the money, he was desperate for cash, and that aside from saving him financially, he thought it was pretty much a waste.

They have chosen the wrong part.
"Hills have Eyes part 1" is much better.

Perhaps the reason why the first film isn't being released is because it's owned by a different company that isn't interested in licensing it out.

Look at the bright side guys. There's enough footage of part 1 in part 2 to keep you happy until part 1 gets a dvd release. I've always hated sequels that nurse way too much footage from the originals to pad out time. The two most guilty of this were probably Silent Night,Deadly Night 2 and Midnight 2:sex,death and videotape but The Hills Have Eyes 2 runs pretty close behind.

I didnt think this movie was that bad, but maybe thats because it reminds me of my chilhood days watching horror mvoies and this is one that I can vividly remember. I'll still pick up the disc, so wtf.
