Well, we had the "best of 1980" so let's see which one was the worst.
Vote.

Man these movies must be SO bad...I haven't SEEN any of them!

Hellbilly, by Night of The Demon, U didn't mean the one with Angela did U? (that would be Night Of The Demons) That was a good one!

Nope, I ment Night Of The Demon (1980), directed by James C. Wasson. It's about a professor who tells some kids tales of people and their "scary" encounters with Bigfoot.
NOTD is hilarious bad and has lots of lousy special effects. :)

Ouch, what a stink fest Helly! So much to choose from, I guess I will go with Don't Answer The Phone, more laughable than scary. This is one of those movies that makes you feel like less of a person for having actually sat through the entire thing. I want my 90 minutes back!

I voted for "Fiend". Damn, what a piece of painful crap that movie was.
After 15 years I'm still demanding my $3 (for renting) from producer/director Don Dohler back! :D

Zombie Lake.

Worst zombie movie ever!

Cool tagline, boring POS slasher. A blank VHS tape contains more entertainment value.

Demented (my vote and "My Bad" for renting) was just a boring, trashy mess. There's no nostalgic value for this film like, say, for films like Don't go in the Woods.

Wow, quite few bad ones on that list (and good ones, too!) I particularly enjoyed NIGHT OF THE DEMON, CANNIBAL APOCALYPSE, and TOXC ZOMBIES. But since this poll isn't about 'best of 1980'...

I voted for ZOMBIE LAKE. After watching this mess, one can only think, "Aren't movies supposed to be entertaining?"

Hmmm... just noticed ALIEN DEAD. Absolutely devoid of anything positive, but I'm still going w/ ZOMBIE LAKE.

Well yeah, I also did enjoy a few on the list. Some are so bad that they are fun though.
Like "The Prey", terrible flick but still a guilty pleasure of mine. :D ;)

I chose Zombie Lake. I can't believe I sat through all of this piece of shit! The worst zombie film I've EVER seen!

Zombie Lake. I couldn't even sit through the whole thing. I want my $15 and 60 minutes of life back!

Actually.....I think $15 was about the budget for ZOMBIE LAKE. It was money well-spent in this case....cause they get my vote for crapper of 1980!

Im suprised Zombie Lake is getting all the flack..sure it was bad but it had some good moments (the female soccer team :D ). Alien Dead is a total waste..not even fun in a bad way.

I voted for The Prey. What a snoozefest.

I really like a lot of the movies on this list: Cannibal Apocalypse, Don't Answer the Phone, Zombie Lake, and To All a Good Night are all fucking great.

I voted for ZOMBIE LAKE too! When you can see the depth markers in the pool.. um I mean "Lake", you know this is a bad movie!

I went with Demented. Wow! I actually enjoyed Zombie Lake. I also liked Cannibal Apocalypse, The Prey, and Erotic Nights.

I loved the nazi zombie knife fight as much as the next guy, but the movie is just so boring. Nudity is great, but man is the rest of the flick boring.

Green zombies have always been cool with me, so it gets points for that.

Nothing can even come close to be as horrible as Zombie Lake. But the first few minutes are pretty good.

I don't know... I kind of found the scenes to be very surreal. It was like a very weird dream, but at least to me entertaining. I just kind of rode with it and it worked for me for some odd reason. Not saying it's great(or even good), but cheesy fun? YES!

I can't vote. I've seen some of the movies on the list but don't remember anything about them. They must've been pretty bad for me to forget them so completely but it means I can't say which of them is the worst.

I tell ya though, I loved Zombie Lake for the same reasons that alot of you guys hated it. One of the most inept movies ever made, but also one of the funniest. Slow motion zombie knife fights, obvious pool liner in the middle of a "lake" (which looks more like a pond anyway), loads of nudity, a moving father-zombie/daughter storyline, bad make up, I could go on and on. Terrible movie but in the best possible way.

I've seen only two of them, which I kind of liked. So I just couldn't vote.

I own Cannibal Apocalypse on DVD, and I enjoyed it, The Island was not too bad, but it has been years since I have seen it, but I voted for Zombie Lake. What a load of crap. Hey, why don't we kill someone supposedly in the lake, but actually shoot several scenes of a supposedly lake in an actual swimming pool, but not cover up the Exit Sign, or the depth of the deep end of the pool. Zombie Lake should not even be classified as a Zombie film, it was just plain bad.

Haven't seen them all, but ZOMBIE LAKE is just so mind-numbingly dull that it has to get my vote.

I'm surprised by the inclusion of DON'T ANSWER THE PHONE. I always thought it was a sleazy classic.

I'm surprised more people DIDN'T vote for that crapfest Don't Answer the Phone! I just got the uncut DVD for Father's Day -- it sucked, mmkay?!

Does anybody who has seen it remember: "Dr. Gale... the drugs are more important than you! Mom, Dad... the drugs are more important than you!" or the upbeat police-working-hard-in-the-office montage? I wanted to run screaming!

I loves me some Zombie Lake on the other hand. It was horrible... but the song while the girls play nude volleyball in the water was classic. I loved that line: "That's not fair! You have panties on!"

Truer words were never spoken. Sigh.

I'm saying Zombie Lake even though I love it! Explain to me how a soldier has a child, dies in WW2, and in the late seventies she's maybe fourteen. Then, has anyone heard the story about how their one camera that they were using (and only one!!) went on the fritz and everyone had to act in slow motion because the film was going too fast in the camera.
