DVD Connoisseur,

A while back you gave me a link to 'Last House On The Left' DVD at www.proxis.com, (http://www.proxis.com,) and I placed an order next day. The date was the 18th March, and I am yet to recieve it (within 10 days they said). However, it has been delayed (according to my order history).

My question is: Did you order a copy from here? If so, did its delivery extend the said ten day boundary?

Hi, Leatherfacefan. Sorry for delay in responding - I'm away from my computer a fair bit at the moment.

I haven't ordered this title yet but I have heard that Proxis are slow at delivering the goods. I'd give them a little more time yet - chances are that they're out of stock and waiting for another batch to arrive. I've not heard of any major problems with this company - let me know how you get on.

I got an e-mail from them sying that it was out of stock and on its way. Do you know what kind of features there were or was it widescreen? Because it didn't tell me, and if it didn it was in Belgian.

PS you did say the subtitles were removable?

The subtitles are removable, unlike the French version. It's also widescreen (aprox. 1:66:1). According to the reviews I've read, it's not a bad DVD. There's a little print damage, and a smudge early on in the movie, but it's probably the best version we'll see for quite some time. I'll be taking the plunge once I've purchased a few other, higher priority, titles.

Incidentally, there's a photo gallery on the disc - all the other material is in Dutch so is pretty useless (unless you can speak the language / are Dutch, etc).

They sent an e-mil explaining that they were currently out of stock. However, my copy was sent on the 5th of April, and I still haven't got it.

I got an e-mail yesterday (10/4/01) saying that I will recieve it in a few days, but how long did it take for yours to be delivered, coz its been nearly a week?

jimmyx, is it a good film? I know its uncut, and all the 'intestine' scenes are in it (I assume. Is it true about the castration scene?

Overall, even if the film wasn't good, was it a good DVD?

Just had confirmation that Proxis has sent out both my copies of Last house so they may be forgiven.
