Ok Just kurious here. How caught up you guys are in the horror DVD craze that is sweeping the net.... :)

I have found that using DVD profiler I sorted on Horror and had a shit load of Horror DVDs. I had never realized just how many I had built up.

Now doing the math is scary because it means I have a buttload of money tied up in Horror DVDs.

So without Further BS, How many do you have?

Cool poll Max. I've got about 75 horror dvd's to my name and around 200 total, so that is about 38% of my total collection. I used to have a much higher percentage, but I've been dabbing in some non-horror box sets lately (Kubrick, The Godfather, etc.). Since I've been living on my own for University I haven't been as free with my money, so I haven't been buying as much DVDs as I should. But as soon as the paychecks from my summer jobs come in, look out! :)

Barely over 100. I actually thought I had a bit more horror films in my collection. I own 167 DVDs plus a few cheapos that I don't actually consider part of the collection. With the exception of maybe 10 dvds it's entirely made up of "cult" films.

Well, I havent counted recently, but my horror DVD collection has got to be at around 260+. I have something like 685 total DVD's and horror makes up a good 45% or so of my collection. But that number is going to be growing soon, since I plan on making a big horror run soon with some extra cash I got.

200 - 249 for me. In fact, we just counted over the weekend after a couple of new purchases. The actual Horror DVD's just hit 206, then there are 47 Sci-Fi, 15 Drama, and 9 action adventure, and 23 comedy.

I just counted and have 78. Many many more to get. I'm trying right now to get all the Hammer horror that is out right now at cheap prices. I haven't even really experienced any Bava, Argento (save Suspiria) and Rollin movies yet. Between that and all the great TV shows coming out it keeps me broke. :p

The AKIRA tin rocks. I'm not at all a fan of anime, hate the shit actually, but this one kicks ass. Great package too, some pretty damn cool extras.

The Kevin Smith DVD's are all pretty sweet too, but I think DOGMA is the most packed. Best disc out of the 4 (5? Actually I still don't have JASBSB).

JUNGLE HOLOCAUST rocks too. Good movie, great interviews. Still haven't listened to the commentary though :(.

Are there still copies of the Akira tin available to buy? I went to Best Buy yesterday and saw the standard version but I'm looking for the LE tin.

The Akira Tin was made in a qty of 100,000 I believe and when it came out it disappeared super quick. I remember people having problems finding them within a week of the release date.

Max, thanks for the tip. I'll try Suncoast to see if there is even a chance to order it...but it seems like a trip back to Best Buy will be my only alternative.
