The Exorcist for sure.

Conn, if The Exorcist is The Godfather of horror, does that make The Omen the GoodFellas of horror? :)

Sisters. My favorite Brian DePalma. I first saw this on late night tv one night and have been fascinated with it ever since. Just great filmmaking.

The Excorcist, Don't Look Now, Wicker MAn and Sisters are tough choices!!!

I'll go with the Exorcist. Even though Don't Look Now is an excellent film, it has it's slow moments. The Exorcist just gets under your skin!

For those of you who haven't seen Don't Look Now, I highly recommend it. When I worked at Blockbuster, I ordered a copy for our store to rent out so I could show people this great film.

Actually, when you count 'em all together, hardly any other decade produced so many classy horror films as the '70s did, and '73 was one mighty fine year. At first I wanted to pick the one (almost) everyone's picked, "The Exorcist", but then I thought, what the hell, there are so many great movies I'll just pick one no one has picked (or said they picked.) -"Theatre Of Blood". Love it, absolutely love it. Price is superb. I have to be in the right mood to watch "The Exorcist", but "Theatre Of Blood" I can always watch.

THE CREEPING FLESH is my first choice.
Others are:
CAPTAIN KRONOS: VAMPIRE HUNTER, THE ASPHYX, SEVEN DEATHS IN THE CATS EYE, CURSE OF THE DEVIL, DONT LOOK NOW, THEATRE OF BLOOD and
THE LEGEND OF HELL HOUSE.
Where is THE HOUSE THAT SCREAMED? (La residencia)

Damn, I really have to see Don't Look Now. I keep waiting for Paramount to release a frickin' special edition. If they did it for Pet Sematary...

I voted for The Exorcist. But I feel it's a tad overrated. Nothing big hurts it of course, I just agree with many people that it's not scary unless you put yourself in the mother or the daughter's position. But it's basically the priests and doctors watching in horror and though it was a quite sight to see... I wasn't scared and barely shocked at all. I thought the scene of Regan being tested at the doctor's, the Ridilin scene, was crucial to the scenes of Regan acting strange and the director cut it out of the final version.

It may not be the "best", but Theatre of Blood is definitely my favorite.
