Does anyone know all the special features that are on the recently released Region 2 release of Jason X? I'm wondering whether or not I should get this one or wait until the Region 1 release comes out in October.

I dont know whats going to be on the R2 release, but I'd say to wait for the R1 since its going to be a full-on Platinum Series from NL. They'll do a good job on this disc and I'd guess the R2 release might be a little light on the special features, maybe not. But I'm just going to anticipate the R1 release till it hits on 10/8.

http://www.diabolikdvd.com has it shipping this Friday. I'll probably just wait on the Region 1 release then.

It's an OK release, it has 2 trailers and 2 TV spots and such on it and it looks and sounds good (though I'm left with english 2.0, 5.1 is in spanish...)

I'll get NLs release as well but I wanted the movie NOW! I really enjoyed this part of the saga.

Ok, here it is:
Anamorphic Widescreen (PAL)
English Dolby Digital 2.0, Spanish Dolby Digital 2.0
English and Spanish subtitles.
2 trailers, 2 TV Spots, "Ficha Tecnica" (lists the actors and their roles, technical inf on the movie, in spanish), Filmographies for Jim Isaac, Kane Hodder, Lexa Doig, Peter Mensah and Lisa Ryder which include small biographies in spanish, Interviews with jim Isaac, Sean S Cunningham, Kane Hodder, Lexa Doig and Lisa Rtder. The Hodder interview ends with "If you don't like this movie I'll kill you"!.
There is also a behind-the-scenes look.
None of the extras have subtitles.

All in all a pretty good damn good DVD. Sure I'll get the Platinum Editio like everyone else, but this will do as a screeningcopy for my purposes. :)

None of the extras have subtitles? So does that mean they are dubbed in Spanish? Or are they in English?

The interviews and behind-the-scenes stuff (in fact all filmed material on the disc) is in English.

Only the text parts, Menu, filmographies etc. are in spanish.

Sorry for not making that clear.

Well, this really is a great DVD and it's about time that Jason gets the DVD treatment he deserves. Paramount should take a look at this release.
