So I finally got this elusive dvd (for me at least);

While I remember this being an awesome movie from when I watched it growing up, I was pretty disappointed in it seeing it again. I'm not really a fan of slashers at all, so dont let that discourage you from picking it up, because Slasher fans should enjoy it.

The DVD is pretty nice, the picture looks ok and the audio is fine. The extras are bare, but it has a full running commentary, photos, DVD Rom features and a few other things.

Anyways, over all Program Power did a good job ... but it just wasnt my kind of thing. I'll be putting it up for trade later in the week if anyone is interested.

Yes, I ordered it from Program Power's website a while back. They did a really good job with the disc. I really like this movie. It's a must for all fans of '80s slasher cheese. You got to love the microwave death! The DVD is definitely worth picking up.

I can't for the life of me find this bastard. I almost made a trade for it, but the guy had already traded it. So then I went looking for it. Tried eBay, no dice, Half.com didn't have it. I tried Pricegrabber, but I don't remember what happened with that. Where did you get yours from? I got two of the Program Power's discs Bloodsucking Pharaohs, and Bone Yard, pretty cheap so I assume this one is too?

Oops didn't read that last line. I'll keep a look out for it when you trade it, I've gotten some new stuff since I last pestered you, maybe I'll have something you want. Got one right up your alley. It's called Kate & Leopold. I'll hang on to it for ya.

Time to bring this ancient thread back up to the top. I found a copy but wanted to get some of the newer people/people who never saw the thread here's opinions on it. It's directed by Joey, the fat annoying guy who gets hacked up at the beginning of Friday the 13th part 5, so that's gotta be worth something.

Where'd you get it? I still haven't seen it in stores. It's not something I'd order, but if I saw it cheap and had it in my hands I'd probably snag it.

There's a few on Half.com for under $10. I haven't gotten one yet but I may get one. Still not sure.

I was expecting this to be a horrible movie but I decided "what the hell" and bought it anyway. While it won't win any awards it is actually on my top 20 list of best slasher films. Any movie directed by the guy who played Joey in F 13 part 5 is worth watching. Not many people know about this movie but I highly recommend it. It's a fun movie filled with all the cheesy 80s clothes and music you would expect and the killer is a surprise. The picture on the back of the box that got me to buy it is of a guy with his head in a microwave. While the scene in the movie is really unbelieveable and not realistic at all it is an entertaining movie.

I love the movie. Bought the DVD a couple of years ago. What the hell has happened to Program Power anyways? Still in business?

I was wondering that too. Is Program Power still around? Through them a few years back I was able to contact Rick Rosseler, the director of Slaughterhouse. Sent me an awesome letter and autographed poster. Very nice guy.

Good luck with trying to find a copy of this movie. I will not sell you mine because A. I really like it and B. it is hard to find. If you are able to watch it, enjoy. It's a fun, underrated 80s horror movie.

I bought the DVD a couple years ago but I won't sell it! You can probably still buy it cheap through the Amazon marketplace or when it shows up on Ebay. It doesn't sell for that much...

I like the film alot. This and Slaughter high were two of my favorite's of the "forgotten" or should I say "never was" slasher flicks of the 80's. I got the DVD about 9 months back. I'll see if I can find the link where I ordered it from. I believe it was from the studio who actually made the DVD.

Just give me some sandpaper and lead me to the nursery!

I don't know if this movie is as funny as it seemed or if I just need sleep, but wow this move seriously had me in stitches tonight. From the silly laughs to the chest rubbing scene  to the awkward pauses in the dialog to the music to the I had a vasectomy at 17, it was fun from start to finish. So nice to find authentic 80s slashers I missed at this point in time. I wish that I had seen this thread earlier, I could've been laughing at this one for years now.

Someone recently recommended this one to me, but I cannot seem to hunt it down who it was for some reason so to whoever it was, thanks! It was awesome.

I just came across the Italien DVD of this movie at ebay.it. It is said to be in widescreen with English audio.
Has anyone seen it and can tell us something about picture quality, etc.
I really love this movie and would welcome a decent release.

Never seen the Italian DVD. If it is indeed wide screen, that's awesome!

I'm not a huge fan of Evil Laugh. I think it is more likely to blend with others, but it was decent enough not to be a bore and it was neck deep in homoerotic undertones...sometimes, overtones, haha. So that's awesome.

sorry I have no info on the italian release

theres a major problem with the R1 DVD, the Program Power (i think) release which is fullscreen - the audio commentary is the exact same volume as the actual movie which makes a lot of it impossible to hear. Then again it came out around 2000 I think, maybe authoring DVDs was hard to do at the time. But it was probably just an oversight on whoever did it

I need to watch my copy again. I saw it once just after I got back from vacation where I bought it (years back). I remember liking it despite the fact that it could be tighter.

Anyone here have the Italian disc?

Finally caught up with this flick after finding a copy of the US disc at a used store and watched it yesterday.
First off, I love Ashlyn Gere's (credited as Kim McKamy here) porn work, and had no idea she was a "real" actress before that. In fact, way back in the late 90's an Ashlyn Gere movie was the first porn dvd I ever bought, just from her picture on the cover (and it being in the cheap bin at Tower). I had yet to see her in action at that point. Fun seeing her with OT (original titties) and a body double! Also just a fun slasher flick, and what is better than 80's slashers really? Maybe 80's slashers with 90's porn stars!:D

Sounds/looks like still no info on the Italian dvd, but I felt the movie was more than likely just open matte on the R1 dvd and I wasn't missing anything. Anyone know for sure what the original ratio was?

Next viewing will be a triple feature with Invisible Maniac (Savannah) and Cheerleader Camp (Teri Weigel).:)

I wish the Lucky 13 DVD line had lasted longer and gotten a few more titles out. Even though the movies were in fullscreen, my Slaughterhouse and Evil Laugh discs are two of my favorites in my DVD collection.

I donīt get why so many people are having a bad time finding this.
Planet Axel has it... and very cheap.
I ordered mine last year, and last month I ordered 2 copies for some friends.

If itīs rare, buy some copies and make some profit... and they also have Slaughterhouse.

I bought a cheap copy at a DD sale some years ago. Even back then the DVD was supposed to be rare and OOP, but DD still had plenty.

Even when it was in print, I think Amazon had the list price at $59.99 or something ridiculous.

Fun slasher movie. Plenty of cheese, some good deaths and a hilarious ending.

The DVD is cool but I agree with whoever about the commentary track. The commentary tracks on this one, The Boneyard and Slaughterhouse are hard to hear.

I think it's still in print. I looked at dvdpricesearch the other day and a few places had it. Only $8 at deepdiscount, and listed as "in stock". I wonder if it ever did go OOP, it certainly doesn't seem to be now.
I do recall it being crazy expensive a couple years ago though. That's when I first saw the cover art and went looking for it on that alone. Not sure if it was OOP then, but I know it was big $ so I waited.

Looks like this is now OOP. Last chance to snag this flick at a somewhat decent price.
