Day of the Triffids for me...

Whilst it may not be the best film of the bunch, it's my favourite as it brings back a lot of childhood memories.

DAY OF THE TRIFFIDS is a fun flick, had it on VHS for some time. Do you got the DVD, Conn?

My vote goes for Psycho, one of my favorite films. Peeping Tom and Carnival of Souls are two others that rank right up there on my list too!

CARNIVAL OF SOULS all the way! Quite simply one of the greatest ghost films ever made!

Black Sunday.

Bava's a genius and Barbara Steele is hauntingly beautiful.

It was close between Psycho and Carnival of Souls but I went with Psycho. I'd also like to see Peeping Tom but don't want to pay Criterion prices for it.

Some great choices here, but I had to go with "Baby Jane" here. For one, Bette Davis is just fuckin' creepy, and the movie had some pretty disturbing moments, particularly the part where she kicks poor Blanche around on the floor. Though they really don't show anything, the sounds alone just put all the horrible images in your head!!!

Just for the hell of it I went with the rare bird "Corridors Of Blood", because of Karloff (and Chris Lee) who is excellent in it. Actually, it's really a 50's movie as it was made in 1958 then shelved for 4 years. Another favorite would be William Castle's "Psycho"-like "Homicidal", I love that eerie little movie. (-Perhaps I feel connceted because of its Solvang locations.) "Black Sabbath" is good too, and "Carnival Of Souls" and "Psycho" remain faves, goes without saying I guess.

Well, it was kind of a difficult choice for me with so many great ones to choose from. I love Psycho, a true movie classic. But in the end I had to vote for Black Sunday.
Mario Bava is one of the greatest directors that I have ever had the privilege to watch :) So the combination of one of the Cinema's greatest directors along with one of the most captivating actresses of all time make, the incredible Barbara Steele, this movie a true classic from any period of Cinema!
