is it any good?
i don't watch horror movies untill late night,so i would like to hear what you all have to say about it

it was originally called demons 3?
i haven't seen demons one and two in a very long time,so i don't remember if they were good or not.

Hi, I would say The Church is just like Demons 1 and 2, but with NO demons. If you can imagine that.

I think I read in Fango at the time that it was made without any demons because they had no budget for demon effects.

I've never seen The Church, but Demons and Demons 2 is the exact same movie, but just in a different setting. They're cool to watch though.

The Church isn't too bad. After being treated to a great opening segment, the film does tend to drag here and there, but hold on as I think it's worth it. It may bore the rabid "Demons" fan, though (ie pacing isn't lightning-fast like the first two films and there isn't as much gore.)

Im sure Im in the minority but I liked it better than Demons or Demons II.

It's fairly spoiler-free (like most of my reviews). It may not be scary, but it's definitely fun.

And you're not in the minority Joltaddict. It's DEFINITELY better than Demons 2, and it's right up there with the first Demons movie. Don't know which of the two I prefer, but it's on the same level.

Oh, and you're new here Loud Death, so I'll keep this on the General forum. But usually something like this gets moved to the Euro Horror forum, so if this thread disappears, look for it there.

ok,sorry about that.

i liked the movie,tho!
it pleased me. :p

i say it was better without the demon makeup and all that stuff,made it more real...and it is a fun movie indeed.
for $12,99 can't go wrong!


i now re-dismember demons one and two,they were good but "the church" is better.

i love the movie.

i agree it is better than demons 1 or 2 also.

i can watch it over and over.

and i have been tryign to get the soundtrack on CD for years to no avail :-(

I love this movie too and it's much better than the Demons films, IMO. I had the soundtrack in my hand when I was in Italy... D'OH! Anyway, maybe you can search it out from an Italian store under the original title of <B>La Chiesa</B>.

A demon film without the demons just isnt the same to me.
