I finally got to experience my first Rollin film this weekend with THE LIVING DEAD GIRL. So what did I think?

I thought it was FANTASTIC! It was a truly beautiful film, very dreamy, plenty of over-the-top gore, and nice "eye candy." :)

I guess I could understand how some people might find this kind of film boring, but I found it right up my alley. I think that the pace seemed to just add to the effect of his film. Instead of just having totally outlandish and unexplained things to make it feel "dreamy" (e.g. the spiders in THE BEYOND), it seemed to actually be made with a kind of relaxing effect in mind. I loved it!

I can't wait to try out some more of Rollin's filmography! I'll probably pick up GRAPES OF DEATH next. Can't wait!

Any more comments on this one? Thanks to all who made Rollin recommendations earlier this month.

Well if you liked that - you'll likely enjoy his others. I watched it and found it painful from start to finish. Actually, I'm being polite, it's utter and complete crap. But hey, that's what makes us all unique :D

Loved it as well. I wrote a review but I'm too lazy to look up the link again. :eek2:

If you're referring to the one at Eurohorrordvds.com then I read it before buying. :) Thanks!

Just watched this and thought it was pretty good. Damn good gore and a few somewhat creepy scenes. Overall very well done.

Watching Revenge of the Living Dead Girls now and it's not quite as good so far - the girls actually look like decent zombies, the gore is not as plentiful, but there is much more nudity.

I thought this was a good film as well. One of Rollin's better works. Originally I owned this on laserdisc but now have the DVD.
