The people who brought us Slumber Party Massacre and Sorority House Massacre are back with...Cheerleader Massacre! I have a screener copy of this, but checking the DVD case, I just noticed it won't be released until March 25th 2003 so I suppose this is a bit premature, but thought I'd post it anyway. I haven't watched it yet, but I'm assuming it should be your standard Jim Wynorski girls with huge cans getting murdered cheapie - could be fun, who knows. I'll post back here once I've had a chance to see it.

Sorry to say this, but don't get your hopes up too much. I just saw this movie the other day (screener copy) and it was ridiculously bad. It was obviously shot on video and has some of the worst acting I have ever seen. This would be fine if there were some good death scenes and gore, but most of the violence is implied. I mean how can you have a "Massacre" title without any good gore effects. There is a decent amount of nudity (long shower scenes), but it doesn't save this movie from being horrible. It's pretty bad when the best thing going for a title is the box art. Stay far away from this stinker when it is released in March.

I'm not opposed to implied violence, however its very hard to make high brow statements like that with low brow standards. Come on, its called Cheerleader Massacre, it follows a tradition of tits and violence, and in due course should push the envelope. Sorry to hear it missed the mark.

And you make "shot on video" sound like a bad thing. Its the future of underground filmmaking, as sad as that sounds for some people, but just watch Bride of Frank or Burning Moon. Video is not a bad thing.

Implied violence?? That was not what I was hoping for at all.

Sorority House Massacre was one of the worst movies I've ever seen...good luck surviving the torture that screener will surely give you Chris! :D

The bad thing about shooting on video (especially with a low budget) is that ends up looking like a porno.

Well I've witnessed Cheerleader Massacre, which after some looking around I've discovered is really just Slumber Party Massacre IV. The Cheerleader part was put in the title just because apparently, there's maybe 12 seconds of cheerleading in the entire movie. The movie isn't too terrible, I mean it's not good by any means but like I mentioned before this is a Jim Wynorski (http://us.imdb.com/Name?Wynorski,%20Jim) movie so you should pretty much know what to expect. Part slasher movie with minimal onscreen slashing, part stag movie with a kinda confusing plot twist near the end.

It's not very scary or action packed, and the gore is pretty minimal, apart from a truly bizarre and hilarious beheading scene, which I'm still trying to figure out the logistics of it. But the movie does have a fair deal of nudity going for it and jumps right into the naked broad scenes with 6 boobs in the first 7 minutes of the movie. The girls - or women I should say they're all in their late 20's - are all pretty easy on the eyes. I was particularlly fond of the one with the short blond hair, Charity Rahmer.:D So that made it a little better. But hot broads does not a good movie make.

Unfortunately that guy Atanas Ilitch also known as "that fucker with the guitar with a 2 foot drill bit on it" from Slumber Party Massacre 2 didn't make a guest appearance. That would've been hilarious. Also more gore would've help some. Gore isn't that expensive really, just throw some red paint around for God's sake.

So to sum all that incoherent crap up, there are a few decent parts to be found here and there plus a brief 80 minute runtime that make it pretty watchable, if you like this kinda stuff of course. Basically if you made it through any of the Slumber Party or Sorority House Massare "films" you should make it through this. If not stay far away when Cheerleader Massacre comes out because this movie will just piss you off.

Oh crap, sorry that poster didn't show up. Try here if you wanna see it. http://www.digivoodoo.net/oldhockstatterplace/spm4/cheerleadermassacre_comp.jpg
And by the way the short haired blond girl looks much better in the movie.

Hey guys they also made SORORITY HOUSE MASSACRE 3 after shooting this. Can't expect much from Jim W but cheesy fun. :)

I have to say, I'm pretty excited about CHEERLEADER MASSACRE. As somebody who actually enjoyed SORORITY HOUSE MASSACRE and even SLUMBER PARTY MASSACRE 2, I have a big thing for this sort of trash.

Thought I'd bump this back up seeing that the movie is finally about ready to rear it's ugly head in a week and three days. Sort of a reminder to those of you who actually want to see it.

Hmm, glad you bumped this. This is on my wish list at amazon and I keep will I, won't it, you know the drill. I love bad slashers, but need some blood and gore to go with it. I may just go ahead and order it right now.

And don't tempt me with more Sorority House Massacre. I love those 2 sorry movies. I know I would get the next one.

Cheerleader Massacre eh? I never watched any of the other "massacre" flicks, but hey, if its got massacre in the title it might be worth a spin.

I have this on order and I am excited, even if it is probably not that great. It doesn't take much for a slasher to amuse the hell out of me.
