View Full Version : Bloody Birthday Cover Art
01-10-2003, 06:20 PM
VCI has finially revealed the coverart for their much delayed release of Bloody Birthday. I can't say I like this new look all that well, it just doesn't fit the cheesy 80's slasher feel found in the film. I much prefer the original US poster/vhs art of the birthday cake. But, since VCI has now revealed the artwork hopefully it will actually make it's release date(2/25)this time.
Any other fans of this film here?

That cover is cool, but it looks very Euro Horror if you ask me. So is this R1 or what? I'm always looking for more 80's slashers.

Is this movie any good ? I don't think I seen this 1

Yes, It is region 1. VCI is the company who released Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things, Gargoyles, Ruby, Satan's Cheerleaders, Blood Cult, etc.
Don't get me wrong about the artwork, on it's own it's pretty cool. But it has NOTHING to do with the movie...other than having 3 children. But even they don't really resemble the ones in the film.
About how good the movie is, I love it myself, I used to watch this all the time in my pre-teen years. It's basically a cross breeding of a so bad it's good 80's slasher with 'the bad seed' (x3). It also stars MTV's "Just Say Julie" Brown naked...so how bad could it be? And the way her nudity is presented is priceless. Her little sister charges friends money to watch her undress through a hole in the closet between their bedrooms.

The new cover looks cool but they still should have stuck with the original art. Is this disc gonna be animorphic?

This new cover looks pretty damn good but still I wish they would have just stuck with the original. No big deal at all though, I'll still be buying it.:D

Actually it's not a new cover. It's the cover of the film's alternate title (Angst) that was released in Germany.
