I've heard that the European release of MARTIN has an alternate score by Goblin. Is this version availible (on any format)? Anyone seen it? Personally, I can't imagine watching MARTIN without Donald Rubinstein's score, but I'm still curious nonetheless.

Yeah, I've been inquisitive about this myself, but have actually never seen this particular version on video, or even known anyone who has seen it. Perhaps if you found an Italian VHS under the title "Wampyre"you'd hear the alternate Goblin score. Just guesses, of course.

I have a Goblins CD with the finale of Wampyr on it. It sounds OK, but I much prefer Donald Rubinstein's score.
Here's a link (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B000000PIV/qid=1043562074/sr=1-5/ref=sr_1_5/104-0366625-5810318?v=glance&s=music) to the cd where you can hear a bit of the track.

Street Trash is on the right track - Argento's edit of MARTIN can be found on tape in Italy (in Italian only). I personally haven't seen it, but I've heard the film itself has been re-edited (a la DAWN OF THE DEAD/ZOMBIE) and the music has been replaced with a Goblin score. I know European Trash Cinema used to carry this alternate edition.

Thanks Bruce! E.T.C. does indeed stock this title, and now they offer DVD-R's for only $1 more than VHS. Guess I better start brushing up on my Italian.
