Angus ain't getting any younger. A remake huh? Seems to be fitting in this day and age. But a Star Wars like trilogy....hopefully Hans shoots first.

Angus isn't getting younger. No one's getting younger.

Bring it on.

Who from New Line needs to die for this atrocious rape to be stopped before it begins?

Deus Ex Machina 03-10-2005 01:21 PM

I like the idea only because there can be a continual continuity through the trilogy instead of making changes each new chapter and then having to retroactivly explain them.

Just as Raimi is involved in the Evil Dead remake, I have no probs with a new Phantasm so long as Coscarelli has his say. It's when the classics get wrested from the originator's control that I get pissed.

I will always love the original, but lets face it, it's dated. The effects and the whole 70's look. I'll checkout the remake.

Myron Breck 03-10-2005 02:27 PM

I say, "Go!"
When the news that New Line was doing the LOTR trilogy came out, I was ready for the worst--not that PHANTASM is on the same level of Tolkein or anythnig. But they have proven to me that they can do more than weak NOES sequels if properly motivated. Maybe this will be cool, maybe not. But I'll check it out.

Actually, I'm really excited about this. I love the Phantasm movies; and maybe Don is negotiating such that he gets to do his own sequel to the original series as well. Who knows. Now, lets see Anchor Bay UK release that box set!!!

you just dont know anything about the series they are already gave phantasm's end the fifth and final phantasm movie a green light

I'm really sick of remakes. If I wanted to see the same movies over again, I'd watch the DVD's.

"I will always love the original, but lets face it, it's dated."

Of course its dated, its almost 30 years old. Just because somethings old and dated, doesn't mean it has to be remade.....You know the Exorsist is looking pretty dated....

Besides maybe David Bowie... who else could play the Tall Man besides Angus Scrimm??

thrashard76 03-10-2005 08:12 PM

I think Angus should keep his role as the Tall Man but these guys need to get on the ball in they want to maintain a perfect new trilogy. I don't wish death on anyone but lets face it, time isn't on his side. I'm definitely up for this new project and I hope to see everyone come thorugh to its end and to live a long natural life.

Demon 03-10-2005 08:12 PM

I'm guessing they're gonna do it without Angus........lol man it'll completely suck.

IGotsNewShoes 03-10-2005 08:14 PM

YAY

Is this trilogy gonna make sense?
