Even though it's getting a DVD release it is still a shame. As a general rule, unless it's an old tv series and/or shot on video, or a situation like when the negative no longer exists and an HD transfer isn't possible I don't purchase DVDs anymore. Where once I would have purchased Death Valley outright, now it only rates a rental. I love Shout, but they should get with the program, take a page out of Synapse's playbook and do DVD/blu ray combo pack releases.

Synapse combo packs are too expensive for me. I'll take a reasonably priced DVD any day. And little billy can eat a dick!

yeah that pissed me off. the one i really wanted the most and its the only one not getting a blu release.

personally. alot of movies take wayy too long to ever get a dvd release. now this movie should have been on dvd years ago. and this should be the blu-ray version.. all i can hope for now is that the transfer is decent.. I bet you in a year or 2 from now. it will be put on blu-ray..

Shout did that to me with The Stepfather. If they do it with Death Valley too, I'm going to be super-pissed.

I dunno about Death Valley ever going Blu, but I guess stranger things have happened.

sometimes i wonder if they just import over the dvd onto bluray.. and just say its blu ray. Personally, i seen certain dvds look better than blu rays. go figure..
