You got too much time on your hands. At least were getting a dvd release.

Nailwraps 06-04-2012 03:48 AM

Dobby's right. Be happy it's at least coming to DVD.

Mutilated Prey 06-04-2012 03:56 AM

Even though it's getting a DVD release it is still a shame. As a general rule, unless it's an old tv series and/or shot on video, or a situation like when the negative no longer exists and an HD transfer isn't possible I don't purchase DVDs anymore. Where once I would have purchased Death Valley outright, now it only rates a rental. I love Shout, but they should get with the program, take a page out of Synapse's playbook and do DVD/blu ray combo pack releases.

Chikan 06-04-2012 02:43 PM

Synapse combo packs are too expensive for me. I'll take a reasonably priced DVD any day. And little billy can eat a dick!

ronnie21 06-04-2012 04:05 PM

yeah that pissed me off. the one i really wanted the most and its the only one not getting a blu release.

ronnie21 06-04-2012 04:07 PM

personally. alot of movies take wayy too long to ever get a dvd release. now this movie should have been on dvd years ago. and this should be the blu-ray version.. all i can hope for now is that the transfer is decent.. I bet you in a year or 2 from now. it will be put on blu-ray..

Shout did that to me with The Stepfather. If they do it with Death Valley too, I'm going to be super-pissed.

Mutilated Prey 06-04-2012 05:47 PM

I dunno about Death Valley ever going Blu, but I guess stranger things have happened.

ronnie21 06-04-2012 09:29 PM

sometimes i wonder if they just import over the dvd onto bluray.. and just say its blu ray. Personally, i seen certain dvds look better than blu rays. go figure..

Chikan 06-09-2012 09:46 PM

My comment shows up 5 days after I've posted it...who fucking cares now? little billy sure don't give a fuck.

Little Billy may get his wish...

Great breaking news to report to you fans of DEATH VALLEY & THE ISLAND:

Originally, these two cult favorites were to be combined together as a double feature on DVD only but that has now changed. They will now be split up and released separately as a DVD & Blu-ray combo to appease fans of both formats. We will also be using the original theatrical key art for our covers. Stay tuned for more details on an official street date...
