Cool stuff, i had no idea that Caligula got a theater release. I'd never heard of Parasite, i can't believe I've never seen "the first futuristic monster movie in 3d".
Spit, Caligula actually had a wide release around summer of 1980, it was rated X then.
this was a re - release rated R.. |
Midnight screening of The Thing sponsored by MMR. I wonder if Pierre Robert gave away tickets for that..

Wow,a nationwide rerelease of HOUSE OF WAX in 3-D,never see stuff like that anymore.Wild to see so many Italian produced exploitation films available at mainstream theaters too,SCREAMERS,WARLORDS OF THE 21ST CENTURY,SUPERFUZZ.You used to see lots of these post synched sound imports from the 60's into the mid 80's,not anymore. The art house import is still around but we don't get much genre stuff from Italy or Spain or Asia anymore.Pity.
yeah those were good ol days.. for all you philly guys. there was a theater called the chelteham twin , which in the early 80's showed any or every horror or sex comdey or exploitaion film that came around.. Cinema is just not like it use to be..
"MADMAN" plus "THE BOOGENS"...makes me want to watch both today!
I notice a shit load of ads and pictures appear to be deleted now? The old movie theater turned wherehouse projection booth/front frame pictures gone. A ton of the cinemart pictures are gone now also. The poster frame cinemart pictures you took also gone. A handful of ads are gone too very saddening!!!!!!!!!! Even the pictures ronnie21 took of himself in the old movie theater restroom gone4ever!!!! WTF!? :(
dobby, you see i have a certain kind of account with flicker, and it only allows me to post 200 max, so to make room i had to get rid of some. cause the more i put up, the more that goes away...

dag. can't believe that humuniods from the deep played at cinemart just months before it closed.. It was so cool to stand in the theater and look at that screen still hanging 32 yrs later.. Its amazing its still there.. they must be leaving the theater still standing for a reason..not too many stand alone theaters with the sign and poster frame still standing ..
