That's great news. Grapes of Death is a definite buy for me.

Drinkers beware! Contaminated wine is the catalyst for a French zombie outbreak in Jean Rollin's THE GRAPES OF DEATH (Les Raisins de la Mort, 1978), coming to blu from Redemption Films and Kino Lorber. Traveling home by train, Elizabeth runs afoul of an experimental pesticide mishap that's turned her townspeople into Gallic ghouls! These countryside crazies are visibly rotting and prone to increasingly violent behavior; before long, heads are being chopped, bodies pitchforked, and Brigitte Lahaie is wandering around naked with her pet pups. (Not a euphemism.) An almost traditional, accessible outing for Rollin, GRAPES differentiates itself from the rest of his filmography with an unusual, pulsating electronic score and surprising spates of graphic gore (conceived by imported Italian technicians) -- a first for France.

The original posters were so beautiful, and appreciated now, I wonder why they went in this direction? Does anyone remember those lovely salvation/redemption vhs covers back in the day complete with saucy video intros?!

Personally I like to see different cover art.

I love what Redemption is putting out and everything, but their cover art is a little blah.

i agree, but for some reason it doesn't bother me. it is very consistent, and the OCD in me approves of consistency.

Likewise. I'm curious what kind of supplements it will have...

How's Night of the Hunted?

I watched Night of the Hunted on netflix this weekend. I liked it. It reminded me of early Cronenberg.

I really liked it too. I went in with lower expectations as I had heard that some consider this one of his worst. It does certainly have a similar vibe to Crimes of the Future. It also has some touches of Robbe-Grillet. I'd recommend it to fans, but it is different from his gothic work.

Just a FYI - ImportCds.com have been selling these Rollin blu-ray releases for $13.43 if you want to save a few dollars. They aren't up for pre-order yet but I imagine the price will be the same.
