Any love for The Car (1977)?
Just rewatched this last night and I'm always amazed how well it has stood the test of time. This is one of those seventies horror films that never gets old for me and even though Christine often gets the nod as the ultimate in mechanical mayhem, I think the satanic black sedan is pretty good competition.
It may not be masterful or genre defining but it is fast paced, fun and genuinely eerie at times. Solid performances by James Brolin, Ronny Cox and R.G. Armstrong don't hurt either. The musical score is very effective as well. |

Speaking of big black ding dongs, how about a favorite karma sutra story thread - BigDaddy, Crikan or Ptflea2 - care to weigh in?

Great movie!
A guy I knew about 10 years ago owned a replica of "The car" for a while and it sure turned some heads. I think this was it: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...Picture006.jpg I wish I'd taken a pic of it sitting outside my house at the time. :) |
Holy shit, that's awesome.

One of my favourite 70's movies of all time. Right up there with other classics like Race With The Devil, Westworld, Demon Seed and Duel.
