WTF is with Full Moon Direct's shipping?!?
 

My son has been saving up for the Full Moon valentine sale. So we go on the site tonight and place his order. When it comes to shipping, it's wanting $35!!?!? I messed around with it, and for a single dvd, it's gonna cost $7 to ship it! That's complete and total BS. Priority mail from the Post Office is cheaper than that and they provide the box! We've decided to not place our order. Definitely lame! :fuck:

I ordered 14 DVD/Blu-rays, 1 poster, 1 pimp doll, 1 SS girl replica and 1x20 holiday cards.

S&H to Illinois?
USPS - Standard Post (25.00lbs.) = $42.87

I singled out the replica and it came out to be $12.xx so it's about $30.XX for all the rest. So about $2.15 each DVD (not including the other misc items). Glad I got such good deals on my gift cards, I think it's still a net gain in my case.

I'm not going to bother calling or emailing them. They just lost my purchase.

Probably using their overpriced shipping to make up for their 50% off bullshit sales.

For the prices they charge on shipping, I'm sure it still takes forever for orders to get shipped out. :nervous:

Here's how it works;

Regular Shipping with no sales; anywhere from $3-4 depending on how much Charlie wants to make.

Expedited shipping (i.e. Priority Mail) with no sales; $5-6

Regular Shipping WITH sales: $5-6

Priority Shipping WITH sales: $7-9

I remember back when they had their $9.99 DVD/$12.99 Blu Ray sale, I priced out how much it was to ship PM II + III at $15 a piece; which is the standard for the site.

The price with shipping; $36.49

When I put then in at the $9.99 sale - $33.72

Full Moon/Charles Band is a con artist, pure and simple, he takes advantage of sales/rates, etc. has slower than shit shipping and blames it on a small staff - it's called outsourcing Charlie, if your staff is that small during peak times bring on temporary help - not difficult, those replicas aren't even worth $50 as they're made out of cheap foam plastic and aren't even taken from original molds! Not to mention this guy has some miraculous warehouse where all kinds of shit just pops up out of nowhere and hey look why not sell it right? I could literally go on and on, but I won't cause really what good does it do in the long run?

I don't purchase anything from Full Moon's site, and I don't plan to.

You should see international shipping prices. I put a deck of cards in my cart to see what it would charge me and shipping was around $20!

Last year it was free S&H for this sale and that's what I usually hold out for. If it wasn't for the gift cards I have I'd probably skip it this year as I've done in the past when it wasn't free S&H.

Well if you don't mind having sex with strangers might be a worthwhile purchase.

I sent Fullmoon a message telling them their shipping prices were stuffed and it was deterring customers. I was nice about but have yet to get a reply from them. Guess that's a big "fuck you" to the fans.

I can't even imagine how many hundreds of e-mails full moon gets. I love those retro VHS big boxes they have but not at $50. :fuck:

I sent this message last week. Most sites have a 2 day time frame of getting back to you.

And yea, for just an original VHS box, $50 is steep.

Yeah but Fullmoon almost never if ever replies to e-mails very rarely.

I'm a friend of Band on Facebook. He was pimping the sale and a few people asked about the shipping. I jumped in and asked why shipping is more expensive during sales. He did respond but simply wrote that was not true.
