New Ads up, good ones.. enjoy..
|
Its funny how burial Ground and Guardian Of Hell were passed on as new movies in October of 85 when in reality they were both from 1980/81, and filmed in other countries.
|
The real interesting one is right next to Guardian of Hell. It's Warriors of the Wind, which is actually Hayao Miyazaki's Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind. They really changed the focus of that movie with that poster...

Wow! It looks even worse in color!
I can't believe they did something like that. It's NOTHING like the movie!! And it's not like the movie sucks or needs to be jazzed up or anything. It's an incredible action movie just on its own. |
Love the deadly blessing ad.. but really the rare find is "eyes of a Stranger" never knew it played around here.. only like 5 theaters got it though...
|
One ad iam looking for i cant seem to find is The Dorm that dripped blood" dont think it played around philly. But you never know what you will find..
|
I wonder if 20 years from now people will be drooling over poster adds for Dark Knight Rises? :spit:
|
I hope not... ha ha ha

If you told the audience of Ronnie's movie advertisements that one day we'd be able to watch these movies at home in flawless quality on something called a "Blu Ray", they'd have thought you were crazy |

new ones are up again

ZOMBIE - that is the first time I've seen the movie poster art used in a newspaper ad and I have been scouring other cities' newspapers for years. Nice! Most ads I have found use a shot from the end of the film of the zombies entering Menard's clinic or the zombies ambling across the Brooklyn Bridge. I have some buried in my collection some place.
Some release dates are hard to pin down - here on the west coast we would have a film like Blood Beach or Final Exam that has already played in some obscure theatres on the east coast 8 months earlier...and then reaching 42nd Street even later in the year. |
