Black Mirror (BBC Miniseries)
This is a British anthology series (3 episodes the first season and now starting the 2nd) that mixes a bit of Twilight Zone and Outer Limits in with its rather ballsy drama. It's kind of a "ten minutes into the future" sort of thing. I'm not sure if it's really categorized as "horror" but it certainly plays on fears of technology and builds up a pretty palpable level of tension and discomfort.

The stories remind me a lot of Richard Matheson and the way some of his more subtle stories wriggle their way under your skin. While this is a lower key of sci-fi, it certainly made me think of stories like "Lover When You're Near Me".

It's certainly well acted and written with intelligence around some thought-provoking ideas.

I don't really want to talk too much about it, as it's full of surprises and I'd hate to spoil anything for anyone. But, I'd easily recommend to fans of any of the references I've compared this to.

I enjoyed the first series, and last weeks premiere was more good stuff. I'm finding as they go I tend to enjoy each more than the last, and am eagerly awaiting episode 2. :)
