MASSAGE PARLOR MURDERS and More from Vinegar Syndrome 4/9
Preorders now up for the April wave of Vinegar Syndrome titles!

Continuing to chart territory previously populated by Something Weird Video (whose mass market schedule has slowed to a crawl these days), new outfit Vinegar Syndrome unearth another rarity with Chester Fox & Alex Stevens' MASSAGE PARLOR MURDERS (1972). A maniac is loose on the streets of Times Square -- one with a penchant for slaughtering NYC's finest massage girls! Can a pair of grungy detectives track down this madman before there's no one left to work out the knots? Featuring some great vintage 42nd St. footage and starring LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT's Sandra Peabody with comedian / monologist Brother Theodore in a small role, MURDERS has remained lost, unseen since the late '70s when it was reissued as MASSAGE PARLOR HOOKERS and promoted as a comedy! Vinegar Syndrome give the film its home video debut, transferred from its original camera negatives, complete with outtakes, trailers, and alternate credits. "If you've never been to a massage parlor, this is a visit you'll NEVER forget!"

Pre-ordered "MASSAGE PARLOR MURDERS", as I canīt get enough of sleazy NYC serial killers butchering hookers :D

There is a really awesome promo in this link:

My kind of sleaze :D

MASSAGE PARLOR MURDERS does look like fun, and Blu too :)

I ordered all three yesterday -- I'm really looking forward to seeing what else this company decides to release over the coming months. There's not a lot of companies left mining this sort of film now that Something Weird have slowed to a crawl -- especially with quality transfers from film elements.

First post updated, somewhat. Here are the covers:

After seeing those HD clips on the site, itīs too bad they donīt release them ALL on Blu-Ray, at least as combo packs.

When I asked them about possible releases of the rest on blu-ray I got this answer:
"If the cost of Blu-ray replication goes down, we'll start releasing BEST OF THE DRIVE-IN double-features. "

MASSAGE PARLOR MURDERS is now down to $14.99 at Amazon.

Is it the same as "Massage Parlor Hookers"? That's the closest thing I can find on IMDB to this and even that has zero info. Also listed as a comedy.

From my top post:

"MURDERS has remained lost, unseen since the late '70s when it was reissued as MASSAGE PARLOR HOOKERS and promoted as a comedy!"

 Ah yes, perhaps I should read a little more closely

With such little experience in the viewing market I think I need to wait some for reviews.

Mixed reviews on the film itself - 10Kbullets basically says it sucks and rockshockpop thinks it's the best thing since sliced bread.

I'll take the opinion of Ian Jane on seventies exploitation before any other one. It's clear the person who reviewed the film at 10kbullets doesn't appreciate the genre at all.
