Slasher // Video acquired the rights to the film. They will be releasing a Director's Cut DVD (??awesome??) with all new supplements...new commentary, new interviews, music videos, photo gallery.

Anybody who missed out on the Code Red DVD, here you go...my personal favorite SOV flick.

Haha, that's pretty cool someone is releasing this again, but I will stick with my CodeRed.

I bought the Code Red DVD back when it was released, and I still haven't watched it.

But maybe I'll flip it before the value drops. I'll wait until the news is more concrete though.

I will be picking this up. One of my favourite SOV '80s horror/what's its that I still can't figure out if they were serious or not when making it.

I can't even imagine sitting through a two hour and forty minute director's cut of Boarding House.

I have Jesus’ releases of both Death Nurse films, and they are both pretty nice releases considering its another one man operation. Also considering the very low caliber films the two Death Nurse films are. I’m just so jealous he has the rights to BoardingHouse. He actually gets to hold the tape master in his hands…I mean Wintergate probably had his sleazy hands all over it too! Awesome. I wonder if there are still traces of Klassu’s cheap 80’s perfume still faintly lingering inside the cases. What a babe.

Ehhh... I'm happy enough with the Code Red DVD to be honest. If the reviews are overwhelmingly positive, I might pick it up though. But it'll really depend on how it compares to the old disc in the various departments.

I've seen their Death Nurse releases for sale but I'm not familiar with this label, do they release on pressed DVDs or DVD-Rs?

The Death Nurse films are his only two releases so far. I assume pressed discs so maybe Chomp can confirm, I actually just ordered them earlier today.

The law of diminishing returns says that, for however many people bought this the first time around from Code Red, only a fraction of those will rebuy this new edition. Considering the size of the cult following for Boardinghouse to begin with, one has to wonder: Why bother?
